Just added some Deisal 911 to the tank, going to let it sit for 30 minutes before trying to start. If that doesn't work, I'll follow the instructions on the back of it for the fuel filter. I'm looking at the TM and it's a little confusing about the Fuel Pump. More to the point, I'm having a...

    Glow-Plugs

I'm pouring through the TM, and i'll try to do the steps best I can, but I'm not a mechanic (trying to teach myself as I go), and some of this stuff is a bit over my head. I did pop that bleeder valve though and fuel squirted out....

Gotcha. I'm just having trouble tracing the wires (it's still dark here and the trucks outside), so I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to be unplugging...

I'll try that, roll-tide. Unfortunately though, it's just me for the time-being.

Triple C, I'm a lot less knowledgeable with the fuel system than the GP system. I switched out the fuel filter about two weeks ago, and that's the extent of me messing with it. I'm charging the batts now to make sure they're good to go. I'll pick up the FPPF today, anything else I could check at...

    Glow-Plugs

Okay, I'm about to throw my hands up!!!!!! I thought I had this tackled. Dog-head suspected a bad ground, so I spent the morning cleaning all my fittings, checking corrosions, tightening things down, etc. Got it all put back together. Started up (for the first time in several days), idled for...

Roll-tide, I'll try that when I get home today! Thanks!

    Glow-Plugs

That's which way dog-head was leaning. I'm not how to check that. Clean every ground?
  9. L

    Glow-Plugs

Me too. Thanks for the help, dog head. I appreciate it.

    Glow-Plugs

Actually, I was wrong. That wire that comes out of the terminal goes all the way to the battery
  13. L

    Glow-Plugs

It connects initially to a small terminal above it, which connects to the main power bus by the batteries

    Got .01 for third test

    Glow-Plugs

Just make sure I've got this right: on the first test, I put a probe on either side of the GP relay. I got .01 until the timer went off, then just under 12v. On the second: I put the probe on the hexagonal portion of the GP, them the input side of relay. I got -.02.

    Glow-Plugs

Okay, I put it right next to where the grounds run into. Didn't seem to change anything.
  17. L

    Glow-Plugs

No change. Is there a particular spot I should put the jumper cable on?
  18. L

    Glow-Plugs

Yes, it cranks fine. I will try the jumper now.

    Glow-Plugs

I have not changed any parts. I did switch out the connectors on one of my battery terminals, and I removed my instrument panel to tinker with my voltmeter.

Napa ST85 i tested GPs, all at 1.3 - 1.5. Tested voltage at relay got 12v (was converted to 12 before I got it). Tested wires, they're good.... But the GP will not fire up, even if I bypass the relay and controller.
