well like i said, i overpaid... i have 5700 into it as it sits....by the time i paint it and put a different bed on it, i might be lucky to make anything. i got caught up in the auction.... it happens sometimes.
i think a duece bed would be a bit heavy...i was just going to grab a flatbed off of craigslist (theres plenty of cheap ones on there) though i think a dropside bed would be much cooler than a straight flatbed
something everyone who's making negative comments fails to consider is due to the fact that pepsi put a buttload of money into "making" this thing...the body is in GREAT shape, no dents...the interior is great, the top is like new, the drivetrain is good, and it has 15xxx original KMs (under 10k...
would 8-9k be a realistic expectation out of it, painted the appropriate green with a flatbed? any idea how much a flatbed would raise the value vs no bed?
hey guys. first off...please refrain from jokes, we all know it's ugly...nuff 'said.
so i bought this thing today, planning to sell it in the future.
my question is, should i remove the bed and sell it bedless, remove the bed and try to find a flatbed (significantly lengthening the...
why sell it? why keep it, i have flatbeds, i have multiple 1 ton diesels, i have 6x6's....this would be of absolutely no use to me and would just collect dust.
the rings were perfectly secure. typically i would cross them aswell but i was only going 4 miles so i didn't put a lot of effort...
just bought this yesterday as a "nonrunner"....the geniuses were trying to wire it up 12v. so as soon as i bought it i wired it 24v and it fired up in less than 1/4 revolution. 80k original miles. has a little rust down low and missing the rear hatch, has blackout lights with a fancy switch...
i've been extremely busy but wanted to report in that a couple days ago i got the filters so i went down to change them and the air and fuel filters in it were ALREADY NEW!! great...$40 wasted (granted they'll be good to have later i suppose), so i put batterys in it...turned the ignition...
a BIG thank you to AZDuece. he came as promised and we got the duece towed to it's new home (for now anyways). it was a nice, simple, easy tow thanks to him being fully prepared.
It's very appreciated! Thank you again.
now i just need to get some fuel filters...fresh diesel...and see if...
i had my porsche at a show once and people were trying to climb in it...i yelled...quickly spread that i was an ******....no one touched my car again. car shows in phoenix are a joke however, this one had new corvettes in it..those guys were so proud, i just laughed at them, when they asked...
exactly, however i don't know how often i'll actually be driving it. AZ guys, how many miles do you put on yours a month and have any of you been pulled over?
yeah GSA. i've bought some snowmobiles off of there, a couple quads and now the duece. overall very satisfied with the outcomes of the other items so i'm hoping the duece will be no different.
i would fire it on whats there but, honestly why chance it? once it's to the warehouse....theres...
m35a2c, hi to you aswell.
also whats with people talking about an "euc" i assume this is an end user certificate? why is this needed? i bought mine from a different branch than the government liquidation but, i don't have to wait for anything...just go pick it up whenever i feel like it.
well guys, it looks like AZDuece will be assisting me in towing this home with his duece. (which is Highly appreciated!)
once i get it back, before i attempt to fire it up i intend on draining the old diesel, and replacing the fuel filters.
my question...should i worry about the air...
