OK I never noticed until now that the metal bows are not all the same. The drop side latch bows are longer than the hard mounted bows. Are they all universal or are they specific to each truck?
The 5 on the right are hard mount. The rest are drop latch style.
I noticed that my truck was getting hard to start. Full peddle and it would barley run until it warmed a bit then it was better. I moved it out of the way and was letting it idle for a bit and noticed fuel / oil all over the motor and on puddle on the ground. Opened the hood and had a stream...
I know that truck.........Traded it for my M715 project that Barrman is building for me.
It ran strong.
It has new wheel bearings in the front axle.
Fuel pump has been swaped out for used pump.
Not sure on the fuel guage problem. Swaped both guage and sender and still would not work right.
Well the truck is on it's way home. Ross left about an hour ago. Nothing is ever simple. The truck needed some more prep. Windshield, bumper, mirror, and a few other things. Mirror too forever as pins would not come out of the hing. As we moved the truck we found a leak in one of the...
None and only used one bit for all the holes and the bit was still cutting good when I was done.
Believe it or not the bit was from Harbor Freight. I bought a pack that had about twenty bits of different sizes. Kind of like they reached into a box and picked 20 and put them into a package.
This plate is an original NOS. They are getting harder to find. There are some reproduction plates someone on here has. The repro plate look just like the original ones. I just sole my extra ring and plate and allready regret it. I have a truck I am fixing to bob off and the ring would have...
I finally decided to put my ring back on my truck. I took it off a while back to paint and wound up selling my ring and then had to get another. My son has be on me to get it mounted back. I also decided to put in the cab support plate. I am dreaming of rivets now.
I started the 6.2 swap into my M725. When I pulled the SBC 350 out I noticed that the pilot bearing had a lot of wear. The shaft on the T98 looks ok. The pilot bearing I had was from Novak. I called Novak and they would not give me a civi part number or size measurements. They will sell me...
No, I is local here. Only about 10 miles from me. Man it has been calling me ever since I first posted it up.
Plan right now is that Craintruck get it.
Man I really want this truck. It is even more appealing with it all together.
My problem is I know I would not keep it original. I think this one needs to be done right.
I have not picked up my tires yet. One set is going on my M715 project, I might put a set on my M725. Now that I see them on the deuce I might just put a set on it.
Did you just use the stock rim's? I was thinking they were too wide to rune as duels but it looks really good.
