Jeff, finally found picks of your build. Looks awesome! Would love to see more pics. Is your side armor double walled? One of the pics shows the boarding ladder and what looks like planks in between your steel, or am I misinterpreting the picture?

Did you notice that both photos are of the same truck, just opposite sides?

Funny? I've looked through that book dozens of times and never noticed it was a USMC truck.

Gentlemen, thanks for the info. I'm contemplating turning my deuce into a representation of an early gun truck (now War Wagon) but I will not change my USMC markings to Army. A friend of mine has a USMC HMMWV that is decked out with all the military bling you can think of...smoke, boomerang...

Did Marines in Vietnam ever convert any 2.5 or 5 ton trucks into gun trucks? All I ever see pictures of are Army gun trucks.

I found that If I make sure to debur the inner nut, polish the face of the nut that will contact the seal, and put a very light coat of grease on it, the nut doesn't grab the seal and break the tab.
