Seeking Tech Manual for Nordic Air 18,000 BTUH 3 Phase ECU 567-00001

I am now also looking for this same manual for the 9k BTU unit mentioned in the first post, part number GSQ346ZABNW00G1. If anyone has it please let me know. Mine appears to be functional but it would be nice to have the manual and the specs, such as how many BTU's the heat function is rated at.

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

Now that the AC unit was out of the floor and out of the way, I started cleaning the floor and cleaned the walls some more. This van enclosure had water sitting in it at some point, as evidenced by the bathtub ring that you can see in the pics. Did you know the floor of these things is green!? I...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

The next big thing was to mount the combo AC/heat unit that I have been storing in preparation for the van swap. It's a Nordic Air unit, rated at 9k BTU on cooling, and I *think* about 4500 BTU on heat. I haven't found the manual for this exact model, so if one of you has it, please let me know...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

I've cleaned the outside quite a bit and started painting. I'm using the Behr exterior paint, 33446 paint code. So far I've only used brushes and a roller, but at some point after it warms up this spring I plan to spray it.

Official 2022 Denton Military rally thread, April 23rd-24th

Anyone know what the RV power hookup is for the camping area? The area near the MKT and such. I plan to hook up and have power to run the heat/AC this year!

    LMTV Cargo Cover install questions

I might recommend that you replace the round poles with aluminum or stainless steel. On mine the cargo cover straps rub the paint off those poles and will also hold moisture like condensation and such. Mine have rust spots where the straps have rubbed. A few of the rust spots are a little...

    LMTV Cargo Cover install questions

The straight poles are the horizontal supports that run between the U shaped uprights and they should have spring loaded little pins or nubs (whatever they are called) that lock into the holes on the squared flange mount tabs on those uprights. The pieces with the formed eyes on the end are bows...

    Voltage, wiring questions

Remind me to bug you about your thoughts on putting together the electrical for my enclosure when I get further along! I may post over on the M1079 conversion thread to get some ideas. Thanks again for all of the info! I will also check and see how much parasitic drain I have on mine sometime soon.

    Voltage, wiring questions

Very interesting. That explains your recommendation to only run the two batteries. On mine I have switched all of the lights to LED bulbs, which should help the current draw a bit. I'm just using cheap LED bulbs in the factory lights. I used to always keep the batteries on a maintainer when I...

    Voltage, wiring questions

Very good info in your reply thank you! I think my alternator is doing fine at least. The voltage drops that I have seen on the reverse polarity protection relay were measured right on the terminals themselves, so that may warrant some further checking. Maybe I can get my hands on another A0 for...

    Voltage, wiring questions

I have been looking over some of the electrical on my truck, at first to see why my headlights might be dim, and now I have a few questions. Here are my observations, followed by the questions that some of you might be able to help with. Observations: Alternator appears to be working just...

    Emergency lmtv brake help

If the pressure is built up according the the gages, but the emergency brake will not release then the brake shoes might be stuck. Make sure to chock the wheels very well, push in the park/emergency brake valve to release them, then get under the truck and whack the shoes with a hammer.

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

2008 M1079A1R? very nice! I'm slightly jealous, ha ha. On the spring rates, I think it is hard to tell. I don't know if they went to 4 leaves because the A1 and A1R trucks are a little heavier, or if it's a similar spring rate divided over more leaves, or both.

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

I'm not sure, as the parts truck was gone to the scrap yard by the time someone else pointed out that the M1079 had different rear springs. Edit: I went back and checked through Keith Knight's build thread and from what I can tell, his M1079 donor had 3 leaf rear springs. What is interesting is...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

Do you have any issues with condensation inside the van enclosure? This morning after a cold night, there were droplets on the ceiling. I noticed that they seem to form where the internal cross braces must be. A few nights ago when it started to cool off and get foggy, I could see faint lines on...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

Right now I am in the process of cleaning and painting everything. I'd doing the exterior with Behr exterior paint and I am really happy with how it looks so far. The interior of the enclosure needs a fair bit of work, but it's a start! I removed the steel plate strips from the floor of the...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

Here's a picture of the M1079 frame rail section, awaiting install. Note that it also has front and rear cross braces that are not on the M1078 frame rails. The frame rail needed cleaning as well. It spent most of those years waiting just sitting on that M1082 trailer, until I finally moved it...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

OK now for some technical details. I chose to swap the frame rail rather that fabricating new mounts on the existing frame for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I had the M1079 frame rail, and I wanted it to be as close to factory of a swap as I could. Secondly, I wasn't sure if the factory frame...

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

I finally got to work on a project that I have been wanting to do for several years: to convert my M1078 to an M1079! Luckily for me I had all of the proper parts to make the swap, which I will cover as well. Before getting into the details I want to say thank you to all of those people who have...
