Just had my lines remade. I've rebuilt the master cylinder, rebuilt the airpack, flushed everything with denatured alcohol, replaced all the wheel cylinders, now I'm replacing all the brake lines. The place I had make the lines has ordered in everything to make cunnifer lines to replace the hard...
So what I found is that the fuel pump had died and popped the fuse. I installed a new fuel pump I bought from Eastern Surplus. Measured that I had 24v at the pump housing but the fuel pump still wouldn't pump. With the fuel pump plugged in, the voltage drops to 0. I found the factory...
Where can I find the identification numbers on my M54A2. I have struggled to find them The dash plate is not the original, I know it's not a 89 like the title says. That was just the year it was overhauled.
Are there identifying numbers anywhere else on the frame or anywhere?
Previous 2 owners did near 0 maintenance on the cooling system of my M54A2. I replaced the waterpump, had the radiator rodded, replaced every hose, replaced the thermostat, replaced the headgaskets, had the heads resurfaces 7 thousandths, changed the oil, filled with new sca global coolant...
This is the bulkhead branch tee that goes in the middle upper part of the firewall on my M54A2 it also connects to the pressure regulator on the firewall and I cant for the life of me find the thread size on the line sides. I know the center is 1/4" mpt. I beleive the other sides are 3/8...
So mysteriously out of nowhere my in tank fuel pump stopped working. The fuse was blown, so I installed another fuse and tested to make sure I had 24v to the wiring and I did, but fuel pump wouldn't work. I ordered a new pump for $575 from eastern surplus, installed it and same problem. I...
Ok, I've figured out that there are 3 fuel filters on this truck. I ordered wix 33512 filters for the filter housing on the engine, but I have a 3rd filter housing on the drivers frame rail in the wheel well that is a Facet 053754-02. is the 33511 filter the replacement for this facet filter?

They did a great job and only charged $175 to rod, flush, clean, and paint the radiator.
So, turns out the cooling system on this truck had been neglected by the previous owners. The radiator shop told me they vatted and flushed the radiator 3 times and it was still 70% plugged. So they rodded it and repairing a little tiny hole in a tube and now it took all the coolant just fine.
I've looked thru the spreadsheet but not sure if the fuel filter listed is correct for a M54A2 as it doesn't specify. I need to replace my filter and check my fuel pump, as the 15A fuse in the pump cover was blown.
If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.
Well I turned in for today. I was squeezing the lower hose and nothing. Litterally the coolant was filled to the radiator cap and I can pull off the upper hose and not a drop. I can put my hand into the upper hose port in the radiator and its bone dry. Either the upper tank has 2 chambers or the...
Here it is, co worker said he bought it from a lady, and her dad had passed away. Has a battery shutoff under the passenger seat, and a kill switch under the dash.

I am wrapping up the headgasket job I did on my M54A2, I thoroughly flushed the radiator with a hose, replaced every hose on the engine, flushed the engine real good with water, drained everything and now I am pouring coolant into a empty system, and it will only take 2 gallons. It's...
I'm in the same boat right now. I just did headgaskets, waterpump, and thermostat, and would like to replace all the hoses. I have taken all the hoses off. Would be nice to get them in silicone.
