    Windshield Frame Seal

Here's my 2019 addition to this very helpful thread. Clean the groove in the windshield frame. It cant be too clean. Any lubricant which won't hurt the gasket is OK. Like Barbara Walters, I used Astroglide. Get it in the groove and only on the parts of the gasket that go in the groove. Like...

M35A3 Deuce steering. Oh fu......................dge....something is missing!

Yes Sir, this A3 has an 18 inch steering wheel. I took my A2, and M105 trailer over to the El Paso county fair for military appreciation day a few Fridays ago. Then hiked a mile home and drove the A3 to the fairgrounds. It was no big deal when I dropped them off before the fair actually...

Ouch is right Toby! Would you be a buddy, pull off your A3 air assist steering, and send it to me?? If you'll do that, I'll owe you one...million!! Jay

M35A3 Deuce steering. Oh fu......................dge....something is missing!

M35A3 Deuce steering. Oh my...something is missing! I'm working on an A3 for a local guy with $, but no time. Once I got hot batteries installed and learned just how easy the Cat starts, I decided to give it a road test. Oh my! What's wrong with this steering?? I got in the A3 TMs, and...

    Top 10 Deuce Modifications

When I was a high school freshman in Mobile Alabama, circa late 60s, I came home one day with a note from school. After reading it, my mother said..."You're acting like a perfect idiot!!" In a moment of insanity, I quickly replied..."Nobody's perfect!" I regained consciousness in time for my...

Many thanks to all who shared their knowledge and experience regarding Deuce pintle hitches. Jay

Deuce pintle hitch shaft nut. Tight or loose?

I added a receiver hitch to my M35A2 a few years back, and when reassembling the pintle hitch, I tightened the main nut on the pintle shaft very tight. So tight it will not rotate under any circumstances. Then recently, a neighbor dropped off his M35A3 for some light repairs. While doing a walk...

M35a2 winch mount for a mrap 18,000lb winch

^^^^ Yup, you are correct. I mounted an 18,000lb WARN Industrial winch using Clints CNC laser cut mounts. I did have to run a 5/8 drill bit through the holes to get all the bolts in, but believe it may have been that my Deuce took an impact on the left front once upon a time. The kit came...

    M35 turn signal problem

I had a similar issue, that when I placed the turn signal switch in the left turn position, everything worked as designed. However, when I placed the turn signal switch in the right turn position, the front lamps were correctly lit, but both rear lamps flashed together, as if they were in 4...

    Another Bad Blower Motor

NAPA Blower I found the energy a couple of weeks ago to start replacing and adding some of the stuff I've been collecting for my Deuce. I replaced the failed heater blower motor, with one I ordered at the local NAPA store a few months ago. Works like a champs, and is pretty quiet. Jay

    M813 78gal. Fuel Tank Dimensions

There are 231 cubic inches per gallon, if that will help with your computations.

    Old gasoline

The factory rep I spoke to on the phone said that each PRI-G or PRI-D treament is good for one year. He said add the recommended amount of PRI-G treatment to the gasoline storage tank after it had been sitting for a year, agitate it well, and you're good for another year. I also had 300...

    Old gasoline

I've had good luck with this stuff when storing diesel and gasoline for long term... PRI Advanced Fuel Treatments and they claim the Pri-G has the ability to restore stale, unusable gasoline to a usable state. HTH

Under bed gooseneck hitch for Deuce

Somehow, I think 'he'll' cope with a lack of speed this time. :)

Under bed gooseneck hitch for Deuce

Speed is not my primary concern when moving heavy loads with a Deuce.

Under bed gooseneck hitch for Deuce

Whatever I need it to at the time. But, I appreciate any advantage I can gain.

Under bed gooseneck hitch for Deuce

Thanks GB! That is a sweet set up! However, I'm going to stay a bit closer to the original MV style.
