I finally got to use the boom that I designed and had built o fit on my Safari Rack for hunting season. The Brackets were plasma cut and the boom itself is made out of steel round stock. It swings out over the back of the vehicle and secures in place with a ratchet strap, soon to be replaced...

MWTC, Mountain Warfare Training Center... Been there, Done that! Cosmetic stuff can be fixed. As long as the drivetrain is good, I would go for it. Try to talk him down, of course, but it looks like a solid deal.

Hunting season is right around the corner so he is pretty busy right now. He is going to let me know when he has a couple of days and then I will give him the truck to fit it. I will post up once it is done. It looks simple, however, it needs a lot of bracing to support the pintle.

Thanks, he did a real nice job and the welds are a whole lot better than I could ever do! I am going to leave it black for now. I like how it matches my Safari rack. I plan on having it Linex'ed in the spring. Next I need to wire up that winch!

Has anyone ever put an M1008 rear bumper on a M1009?? I was wondering if it was a straight bolt up or would I come into other issues??

And a good time was had by all! That Halftrack stole the show! The boys, and men, got a real kick out of it. Cab's BBQ was awesome and we all had a really good time. Me and the boy will be making this an annual pilgrimage!
