CUCV's on GL lately, high $$?

I just picked up one yesterday from Ft. Meade. It was the the lowest one and was still over 2K. I will be posting more about it later.

Wow, don’t look all that bad! Would have been funny to have a snake pop out and scare him sh1tless!

    Speed Bleeder size??

Anyone?? I just put a wrench on the new wheel cylinder bleeder screw and it takes a 5/16 wrench. Not to sound like too much of a tool, but does the wrench size equate to the thread size for the screw?

    Speed Bleeder size??

Good morning all. Does anyone know the bleeder screw size for the rear drum wheel cylinder & the front disc calipers? I want to replace the original ones with Russell Speed Bleeders. Or if anyone knows the correct part number that would be even better. This is for the 1984 M1009. Thanks!

    Baby MRAP article

I live in VA and have seen these being transported down I81 from PA and up I95. Pretty cool looking!

    Mechanics?

    Good deal!

    Pic of my m1009!

Very nice! Very similar to the one I want to build over mine. I will be watching for your load test. 300 seem’s too low for me. I would like to see numbers in the 500 to 700 range. I like the ladder idea and had the same thought, only mounted on the side and incorporated into the rear legs...

    Mystery wire………

Yes, of the “spirit” kind. Frustrating day, I hate working on something some other idiot has screwed up. At least I am not covered in rust. This truck has a real solid frame. I am used to working on old mustangs where every nut you twist is rusted up! The underside of this guy was nicely...

Exactamundo! Thanks for your help. I need a drink!

    Mystery wire………

Thanks for the pic’s! I am a visual person and that is just what I needed! So, if I am looking at pic #2 & #3 correctly, there are two connections, one for the Yellow & Purple with a white stripe to plug into AND one for the two blue wires and one green wire to plug into. Holy crap it has been...

    Mystery wire………

Yes, one plug with two blue wires and one green wire going into the switch.
  14. joediveguy

    Mystery wire………

Nope, no go. The switch (back up light switch), already has a plug to it. Two blue and one green wires.

    Mystery wire………

Hey Doghead, can you please give me the TM reference for that Neutral safety switch you have the pic for? Your pic looks nothing like the switch at the bottom of the steering column right by the firewall (back up light switch). Are you saying there should be another switch there too? A back up...

    Mystery wire………

Ah, HA! You might be on to something. Just tried it and it cranked while in drive. Might go to the Neutral safety switch!

    Mystery wire………

Are you talking about a Yellow & Purple with a white stripe or Yellow & solid Purple? I have seen Yellow & solid Purple, but not Yellow & Purple with a white stripe. The Yellow & Purple with a white stripe is the one I am looking at.
  18. joediveguy

    Mystery wire………

That is what I am thinking. I was able to connect the brown one with no noticeable consequences, but I cannot for the life of me find what the Yellow & Purple with a white stripe plug into. :?:

    Mystery wire………

Okay, just took a peek and found that connector, but I can’t get my fat fingers up there. Time to get into my work clothes and dig in. Thanks Doghead. Now find that other connector for me![thumbzup]
