I've had a similar problem -- I found that the plug in switch S14 (crank disconnect switch) was installed backwards. There were a couple of vendors for that switch. One made it "murphy proof" so that it could only plug in the correct way, and the other vendor made his so that it could be...
Well, I went out and bought a 12 point 16mm socket. With a little persuasion it will fit on an injector, but I have two different style injectors to deal with. One type from an 803a has the fuel return port that extends at a right angle about 5/16 inch and then vertical -- that's easy - the...
I looked up that autometer sender that Tom had found, and it sure looks like the ones from the TQG. All you need it to trim it to the correct size and you ought be good to go...
If you still have the sender unit you can fix it (depending on what's wrong).
I had two of 'em that had the shaft broken at the top -- just where it bolts to the top flange. That is easily fixed with a piece of aluminum or steel that is ~1/2 inch wide -- easily available at Home Depot.
BEFORE...
After one blood blister, two gouged knuckles, a lot of swearing, more swearing, and one broken fuel injector I've decided there has got to be a tool to remove these pests.
Depending on how one would do this it could be a 12mm, 16 mm, or 9/16 size, but none of those sizes work very well. I...
I took one of the "bad" ones apart, and here is a fix for them.
If one removes the OUTPUT fitting from the pump housing he'll see a plunger and spring. Take those out and look inside. There is a copper tube and inside that copper tube is a sliding metallic sleeve -- not the small 'cylinder'...
Well, perhaps they failed QC, but they were dry, so the QC didn't involve pumping anything through it. This particular (40193) facet pump is kinda odd since it has such an unusual PSI and GPH rating -- sorta backwards from all the other Facet cube pumps.
There isn't much inside them; I'm...
Well, I got several facet fuel pumps 'cause I knew I'd need some, and I ended up with four of 'em -- all NOS.
Well, THREE of the four failed straight out of the box, and the fourth works fine! I took one of the failed ones apart and nothing looked obvious. Anyone have a fix for a new failed...
There is a contactor in the AC interrupt circuit and a small 7.5 amp breaker in the control box, and a tiny third breaker on the right side of the "push to test lamp module". Which one is opening? If the one on the lamp module is going, then that is fairly normal if one draws too much...
What that light is telling you is that the current going through the current transformer(s) exceeds the allowed current. That black box on the far left inside the control box is controlling this. The current transformer is that grey thing-a-ma-bob that has three sets of wires wrapped through...
Most of the current day 220 volt appliances will also accept 208 volts, which is the voltage that a 3 phase generator will make.
If you look at the data plate on anything 220 volt it'll show 220/208 if it can be used on either voltage.

Since you got me thinking about these monsters again I just noodled around and found out where to get a new one..

The "relay" on the far left is actually an electronic switch. I've got one sitting on my desk right now. I have never seen one of these available for sale.
This switch samples the RPM's of the engine from the sensor just below the starter, and when they hit 600 (or 800?? - don't...
I just re-read your post and saw that you think that the quad winding is no good.
If the quad winding is bad then there is no need to test the other windings. The stator needs to be replaced.
Think of the quad winding as a "fusible link" or "shear pin" to prevent fires. Fire prevention is...
What I have found with my Fluke digital meter is that if I set the meter to continuity -- makes a tone when continuity is detected, and hold the leads together whilst I switch to ohms that it will register 0 ohms. If I just short the two leads together under ohms without doing that first I get...
The 11707 meter is not exactly the same as the "normal" one in an 802/803. However the differences center around the ability to withstand an EMP attack. In all other aspects they are the same thing.
Well, I don't think that we are in danger of an EMP attack at present, so the 11707 would make...
