I know there were quite a few lots that went for nearly twice what they should have. Common sense was out the window in these cases. I didn't bother with this event.
What the poster above did was not rocking the boat. I see it as a legit question. Why does the gov require EUC on things anyone can buy anywhere, and what can be done to speed things up similiar to NICS? I agree with the patience thing as far as Battle Creek. There is nothing anyone can do about...
I recommended the 5/8 half moon wrench because it is easier to get that kind of wrench in behind the shrouded part of the alt bracket to hold the bolt head from spinning. From the other side, you use a normal, or ratcheting wrench.
Meh, for the A2s I like both. I have both. My green one has dualled 9x20 and my sand one has singled 11x20. For me, greeny is a better work truck, while sandy is a better play-in-the-woods truck.
If we are talking A3s, those are Oooogly no matter how they are set up.

That beautiful setup you have there could be a lifelong hobby in itself! Just think of the improvements, and upgrades you could do, then dream of the places you could go. Congrats.
BTW, this is what we have planned for our M818 and M146. Our M129C will be used as a maintenance(sp?) van...
I was lucky enough to get one government lock with the key on my first deuce, but I have to jiggle the key to get in out. The key wont come out at all if the lock is open. I'm too cheap to buy a decent lock.
Don't forget, an M1009 is A LOT easier to justify to the wife than a duece or 5 ton. It IS an automatic trans SUV, albeit old and primitive. This affects price.
I didn't do that, I kept skipping ahead. After the fourth mouse click, I realized it just sucked too bad to watch in entirety. Why don't we have a puke smiley?
