Worked on going thru this truck this weekend. Changed the oil and filters, fixed up a fuel can with an electric fuel pump. There was dirt doppers like crazy all in the air intake, even found one behind the choke flap. Finally got the engine spinning over under it's own power with the plugs out...

Well, Ol'Rusty showed up yesterday. There's not a single piece of sheet metal thats useable. except the side access panels for the engine. I found out from the truck driver that it has been sitting for more than 20 yrs. His father works for the company as a crane operator and he remembered as a...

As much as I would like to have two complete gas tractors I think this one will end up being a donor, but you never know , this is a very restorable truck even as rough as it looks. The first thing Im going to do is see if it will run. [thumbzup]

How's this for a find? Beyel Bros. out of Cocoa Beach FL, have owned this truck since the mid 70's. It's been parked for over 10 years. There yard is only about 5 miles from the ocean. When I went to look at the truck in April of last year I was afraid to even stand on the fender. Steve Beyel...

It's no secret that the 1400x24 tires are hard to find and when you do they are not always in good shape. So I spent a little time today trying do a little conditioning to these. In the end they turned out pretty nice.

    10 Ton M125 Repaint

Spent just about all day today pressure washing tires. Most of them proved to be a real pain getting the 50 yr old paint off. But the aresol version of aircraft pant stripper got the job done. I'm off to Germany on Tuesday, so mounting them will have to wait.

Copper is the original equipment. I would hate to think of the cost to replace it in stainless. Also the trouble of bending and fitting it, and yes sand is my primary medium for blasting. 30/65 grit.

Installed brake chamber's and lines today. My next move is to sandblast wheels and mount tires and this thing will be rolling. :jumpin: But I want to put all new tubes and flaps in and that is going be a little pricey.

It showed up Friday morning. It's going to be hard but I need to stay busy on the 125 before I rip into this truck. As rare as this truck is it really deserves a complete frame up restroation like I'm doing on the cargo. Also thank you Kevin a.k.a. Mack123 for your help in the purchasing of your...
