It looks like August 30th for Trucks/4x4's. I'm tempted to drive the M817 on 53's down from the farm in Wisconsin for that night. Cruise nights don't start until May31st:

I just picked up truck plates (40k-45k weight plates....cost an...
If you were seeking the "Air Brake Endorsement" on the Class B, the truck has to have a pop out tractor protection valve for the test. Rent a truck.....it's a few bucks, but worth it. If you have no rental facilities near you, check with a local farmer....trade trucks for a day (though I...
Hi Jedawson1
I can tell you why you couldn't reach him......he was at my house!!! He previewed, repaired and delivered a M925. He's the real deal......a plethora of knowledge and a darn good guy!! :)
Thank you Steel Soldier JBL !!!
I won a truck at Sparta, WI......and contacted Steel Soldier Member JBL to do a preview (luckily he posted his services for hire......would not have found him otherwise). After doing the preview, he identified two batteries that needed attention as well as a...
Doing the same. Cleared EUC this morning (took only 8 days)......and picking up 925 in the next couple of days (with alot of help). I'll report back asap.
Thanks Sigo
I just won a 925 at a GL auction........and the 813 is what I would have rather picked up (though none to be found at GL in my area). That is a Sweet looking 5 ton. L.E.D. lights make the truck stand out. How do you like the headlights? I thought about picking them up.
I...
After doing a height compliant bumper, I felt the truck needed more (sound familiar?)
I added the Grote LED upgrade lights, top marker lights, as well as a "few" more in back. I picked up Erik's front marker light converter cable, worked like a charm (it's laying on the floor working behind...
Outstanding write up!! As a new'b.....I'll be doing my 1st recovery in Sparta WI in the next month or so on a 925. I have other vehicles that I've rebuilt (Mustang, Chevy II), but I have to say....I have never been this excited for any project !! Having bought a "ready to go" m817 for...
I used RAPCO 383 with a 4 to 1 ratio xylene reducer.... project came out top notch (height compliant bumper). Used a cheap harbor freight spray gun, in line desiccate and prepped with the xylene......came out solid for a "neophyte" painter.

"The wife does the body work and painting"....
I can't even get my wife to mow the lawn. Take good care of that woman. Up by me, they shop till they drop, watch Oprah and Nancy Grace (hurts me to even type that) and cook using microwaves and toasters (i.e. install a double oven and then...
Nice looking mill. A few servo's, linear scales......CNC. I paid my way through college on a J head Bridgeport. You can make ANYTHING with a vertical mill....and then some (that is until you break a tap off in your exactly located hole and then need to EDM it out.....anyone done that?)...
Every state has reciprocity rules. As long as you are compliant with your own state, you're good to go. If your state requires a CDL, make sure you have the class B TYPE II CDL noted in your glove box to show the LEO (for INTERSTATE, occasional use....unless you do type I with a medical...
Ditto
Illinois and Wisconsin (1970 and newer) both require a Class B CDL for any straight truck plated over 26,000LBS. It tells any LEO you took the time to understand the limitations of your vehicle (i.e. they don't care about your common sense, they want to see it on paper or plastic). I...
