Ok maybe it was a soft top.. I just remember one without a top and it had been picked over. The air filter was in the back and lots of stuff missing including a top.. Take some pictures for us when you get it home. I see they lowered the tail lights so things would clear . Should be a unique...
Hey dc3coyote I was eyeballing those trucks. Did you get the good one with the hard top? Good score and I am glad someone in our group got one. I believe that is a Airforce specific truck. Now you will have a drop side, with the lift gate and I think they have the brake upgrades too..
Welcome man! Yep you got it bad and it only gets worse.. LOL.. Now I know who was bidding against me in Wi all the time! That tan truck is the sister truck to mine.. I tried to get it but now I know it went to a good home..
This site does rock and most of the people too..

I am going to guess B1's.. Why you ask?? Because the B1 production was put into place for the Veitnam War.. Thats what the book says anyway. The M715 was sqeezed into production through some back door deals to replace the M37 and was a inferior vehicle.. OH my ! That will get the hornets...
How many vehicles from the 60's, 70's,80's could sit out in a field for 60 years and still be drivable? This is a testiment to the WWII stuff.. Not only was the steel thicker it was of a very high quality.
We sold the real bad stuff to Japan in these years for high prices. That is why most...
I have found that the metal is not the same. They rust out much faster here in Michigan. You can take a B1 made in the late 60's and it has twice the rust as a 1951 and almost 18 years less in the elements.
I have been told the old stuff has a much higher nickel content in the steel results...

Its like telling about a hot chick and no pictures to drool over.. Its just not fair to us OD heads....
That might be a 22 caliber hole but I dont think its from a 22 rim fire! To hit that thick of metal on a angle and penitrate it I bet it was a 222 or 223 round from some distance... I hope that didnt happen when your sister was plowing!!! Hmmmmm.. Not good...
