    congrats on that tractor !! I watched it but to far for me to haul 19 thousand pounds.. Not in bad shape and with a Mack engine you got a good price IMHO.. Keep us posted on her progress. Are you going to restore it? I thought maybe someone on the site picked up that rare gem..heheheh

    Its my understanding they put Macks in them for three years. The Army wanted Mack to make changes to the engine and Mack told them to piss off.. Not changing there stuff! = contract termenation.This is the story I recieved from a very credable soarce... Dont have any hard facts to back it up...

    Most of the time $600 to $1200 depending on the shape, modifications,and location.. Also location plays a big part.. You could have a very nice one in the middle of the desert and not be able to give the thing away.. This has been my exsperiance anyway..

    Engine compression..or lack thereof

    just o another note before putting it back together. That head may be warped? Have it checked and shaved if needed. Also check the block deck? This could be a reason for loose bolts and or the head gasket blowing,if so you will just have it do the same thing again.. Bummer this happened..

    RE: Oh yes Did a little research.. They made 7- XM152's with winches.. 52- M43's with winches up to 1955 There was a total of 1038-M152CDN trucks made up to 1955 and 409-M43CDN trucks made and 672 of all models of these vehicles had winches.. Does not say which ones? but for a total of 4524...
