    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

Jeepsinker thanks for your disheartening yet honest information. I may just insert a piece of smaller tubing/pipe into the boss with a 90 degree angle and attach the vent hose to that. The hose should not have to be tight - as long as it’s in the area the fan will push the air up towards the...

    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

Hey thanks Barrman. I did remove the glove box for the passenger side and that was a breeze. However I’ve struggling with the drivers side. Consensus is to move the gauge panel - that’ll be my next attempt.

    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

Yeah I hear you. Out of all the projects my son and I have done on 3 deuces, the drivers side defroster vent is the poorest design we’ve seen. I could not lay down like that - I’d probably have to remove the seats.

    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

Thanks runk...I did not think of accessing the vent from that side. I will give your strategy a shot.

I have the hose I just can’t get to the attachment point, which is up and behind the steering column.

    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

This topic may have been covered but I’ve searched for several hours and can’t find it. Does anyone have any nifty ideas on how to attach the drivers side defroster hose onto the defroster vent? I’ve succeeded in turning my large hand into raw meat trying to get to the attaching point. I...

    VIC-1 Control Box Help

I just received some brand new C-10456A/VRC control boxes. The TM states that these boxes work just like the 2298 boxes as long as the dummy cap is on the remote keying jack. I’ve tried multiple tries with 2 boxes and cannot get the boxes to work. I am wondering if there is a way disconnect...

VIC to Cellphone Adapter and Military Radio Digital Modes Adapter

Augi, In your post #40 it sounds as though your adapter will not work with the Vic-1 if a radio is attached. I have an RT-524 / Vic-1 set-up. Has there been any updates to this since post #40..? Thanks in advance...Bill

Power for my Vic 1 and PRC-10

Well the radio mount takes a special cable - I can’t remember the number I will get that cable number to you shortly. The cables from the battery to the breaker box I used are 6 gauge battery cables I picked up at Walmart for $6 each. Lugs on the battery terminals and I cut the lugs off the...

Power for my Vic 1 and PRC-10

I have done that in two deuces and am about to install it in a third. Got a small breaker box at Lowe’s and use a 15 amp breaker. Ha terry to breaker, breaker to radio mount, cable from radio mount to Vic-1. Works great.

What have you done to your MKT this week???

Another Ahab....had done some work with the local Scout Troop to help them raise $$$ a few years back but have been just using it in the back yard for fun. It makes the BEST carmalized peppers & onions I have ever tasted. It is ready for any local crisis if needed - we had 2 major floods...
