I'd check the brakes make sure they're not dragging ,calipers not stuck,
caliper pins greased. brake pads wearing evenly. front end alignment
all can make a big difference in fuel consumption....
There is a circuit breaker in the headlight switch which can go bad
There suppose flicker before the fuse blows high electric draw or short will trip them
and cheep Chinese headlight switches sometimes fail right out of the box
Splice and solder and seal with liquid electrical tape
or butt connector with heat shrink tubing or the butt connectors built in heat shrink!
Don't use RTV to seal wires as this is corrosive ... Butt connectors with the built in heat shrink
