Getting old and forgetting just about everything and getting a spare tire around the waistline. For this reason if I remember I cocked the wheels hard to the right before I got started on the job. Helped me get into the engine without crawling over the front right tire.
Yea my oil cooler gaskets were leaking and went to Cat and got new embossed gaskets. I also used four correct bolts with the heads cut off to help hold the two plates and two gaskets together to help install of the cooler bolts. Also had to grind down a boxed end wrench just a little to get one...
Can not remember if it was a TM but you can check to see if the check valve between the tanks is holding correct. Drain the outer tank of air if I remember and the inner tank should hold air pressure for the airpack with no leakage into the outer tank.
You might try and check the delivery valve. Easy to check / clean and there are posts about it with pics. Also two hole injectors should be set at 3500.
Myself 260 / 270* EGT on the Duramax and 5 minutes without a pyro on the MV's. For the Duramax it is about 2 minutes to get there but the turbo is also water cooled. With 260 /270* EGT I believe the metal in the turbo shaft has cooled down enough to shut down.
Give me an hour or so as I just woke up. Yea my 1088 was missing just the thrust washer and SS member NDT set me one for free so I will pass on the good good deeds.
Just as a side note a bob Deuce for street use is really cool. Offroad it needs lockers in rear and maybe the front if price is not to bad. I did not put lockers in my bob Deuce but did put them in the rears of my bob 809 5 tons. I was not worried about how much to cut off the frame as I was...
I will assume you are going with a cut down Deuce bed and not a 105 and all parts from a Deuce front end. Yea 105 bed lots of measuring to get tub and bed gap correct. Then there is the cut down Deuce bed and not so much alinement since no wheel well but then there is the discussions about drive...
No I had / bought NOS wheels both Hemtt and combat from GL and they came with new distorted nuts in the bags with O rings. If I ever needed to service the wheel I would order new distorted nuts. Lucky no problems with any of my wheel so far and I think I have a full set of distorted nuts...
Broke out the trusty TM's. Guess you have to also know if you have a mix and match booster pump. Troubleshooting manual shows the first LDS had no over pressure valve in the secondary fuel filter block. Looks like they put it in the booster pump. Then they put the over pressure in the fuel...
GunFreak page 24 line K right hand side LDS 465 trouble shooting manual. If you are talking about the booster pump pressure valve then it needs to be correct. You will see it starts to open at 60 psi then return pressure back to inlet side of booster pump. Now if you are talking about the system...
Just wondering if you torque number could be off since you are running down distorted nuts as they require a lot more torque just to run down. Now if it was regular nuts it would be easy to use torque wrench. Last time I used my one inch M18 fuel set on #4 plenty of oil and no problems and never...
