Cable dog has slack when the lever is all the way back. The low idle is good its most likely the re set button, or what ever makes that pop out. I have a good starting point for tomorrow. Thank you
Starts right up purrs like a kitten. As soon as i try to speed the engine up it shuts down with a over voltage light on. At idle i do not have any idiot lights on. The frequency gage pegs right away even at low idle.
What do you guys think the transducer?
Thanks for all your help, in advance. I...
Here in pa the law is you are allowed to ride in the back of a pu but can not go over 30 miles per hour.
My nieces kid is a cop and we were just talking about it the other day. As many as can fit too.
nice and cool this morning 80 degrees, felt like 45 after 90 degree days. got to look at my linkage from the shut down solenoid, moved it a couple times by hand and it fixed it self. doesn't get any cheaper or easier then that.
I have another question. does the black writing on the wires mean...
What happens when you turn these machines off? I have one that keeps running. Is the selinoid switch the off switch connected to the injector pump? I know the fuel pump shuts off but i think the ip sucks fuel right through the fuel pump once its running. Thanks in advance.
I want to thank everybody who helped me in this thread. I sold the generator as is. I got what i paid for it, and kept the trailer so i made some profit on this deal. So thanks again and see you soon.
edit edit edit THE PUMP I ORDERED WAS A 3/8 X 3/8 BUT THE FITTINGS ARE 1/4" NO BIG DEAL I JUST HAD TO GET TWO BUSHINGS TO GO FROM 3/8" TO 1/4". EDIT EDIT... I JUST ORDERED A NEW FUEL PUMP TODAY FOR MY 802A HERE IS THE LINK. THE PUMP IS 24 VOLT AND THE FITTINGS ARE 3/8" NPT. I FOUND THIS ON A...
Sorry guys i have been busy with life, and have not had a chance to test anything yet. Every time i get a free hour its 100 degrees outside and i hate the heat.
Thanks for everything so far. I think I will read up on setting the linkage. its something that doesn't cost anything and it needs to be done, while I try and figure out what I did with the u shaped glass tube I have somewhere. I want to check compression I just don't have he 7/16-20 fitting I...
I read it but not having done it or see somebody else do it its confusing. When the pointer on the flywheel is lined up is that top dead center on cylinder no 1? It shows in the manual to put a 1/4" wire into the slot and turn the cam on the back of the pump till the wire drops in (like the...
in the longer video (0523) I didn't have the throttle cable pulled out. somebody replaced it and it idles very low. start the video from the 30 second mark and you will see it fire up and run strong. I do know about having oil pressure before letting go of the starter button.
I think its timing...
TWO VIDEOS ONE IT JUST SMOKES THE OTHER IT STARTS RUNS STOPS AND IS RE STARTED AND SHOWN RUNNING LIKE A TOP. I HOPE I DID THIS RIGHT.

I cant find a good fitting to make a compression tester. Looks like i will make one from a old glow plug. 7/16-20 is not very common. They make hydraulic fittings and brake fittings but none of them have long threads to go into the block to engage the threads.
I have a video of the machine...
ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THREAD THE GLOW PLUGS ARE? I figured they would be 1/4" or 3/8" pipe thread. I was wrong. I could cut up a old glow plug and weld it but its easier if I can just get a fitting and adapt from there.
