    Various FMTV CTIS Rebuilding Kits

Bump. I recently updated the CTIS wheel valve rebuild kits. Added items to rebuild the valve stem at no extra cost. I finally found a reliable vendor for parts & have made a bulk order, so I should have these in stock for a good while.

FMTV Air Hydraulic Pump Rebuild Service

Still doing this service if anyone needs it. I have been doing a lot of them!

    MEP 802A & 803A Upgrades

Bump. For some reason, eBay was glitching with the promotional shipping rate so it's removed, but the new Ground service is significantly cheaper so costs have gone down a lot. I also got some better packaging & tweaked weights a bit. All links should be updated. If by change you find a dead...

    H-120 ASH Fix-up Thread

Thank you for the final suggestions. I ended up letting it sit for a while. A friend ended up being interested & I made a trade deal, so they have it now and are going to dig in. Going to share this thread with them so they can get the details on exactly what I did better than off the top of my...

    MEP 531A Fix-up Thread

Someone put a different injection pump into the one that is different. Yanmar has different part numbers for the different injections pumps, depending on what side the fuel comes in.

Yanmar L48AE Injector seal MEP 531/831

Sorry I'm late to the party here. Been a while since I pulled an injector on one of these little buggers. It is still in there, yes. It is kind of a silverish thing with a seal at the bottom. The copper washer... I think they don't have to be in there. They are only needed if required to get...

    MEP 531A Fix-up Thread

It's an odd, angry, and loud fella. I didn't know that was there solution, I came up with that on my own. Guess it's just common sense.

    S-788 Build Thread

Well, after almost a year, GovPlanet finally sent me the title for the trailer. So, that will motivate me to get this moving a bit more. Still not sure I want to keep it or sell it since the 4th child is due any day now, but I will make up my mind once the shelter is solid on the trailer.

    MEP 531A Fix-up Thread

I wanted to revive this old thread in case anyone is still watching. I kept some of the parts when I parted this out. One of the was the potentiometer for the voltage adjustment. I grabbed it from my parts bin to use on something & went to use it with no luck. Tested it, and it was dead...

    L.I.P.S. Fix-up Thread

I could have sworn I came back to update since the last post.... I ended up adding a 12v Solergizer just to keep the new battery I put on happy after blowing up the other one! It was out at my cabin for another year! Didn't use it much, but got almost up to 60 hours on it. Brought it back...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

In regard to 60+mph vibration... these wheels suck. I'm no ultra expert, but these wheels are NOT perfect round or even. I bet if you do like I did & put some sort or camera under your truck looking at your axle when driving, it will show you just that. Or, how much a dump troop didn't make sure...

    LMTV Cargo Cover install questions

Not to take away from the OP, but I ended up making a video going over the FMTV bed cover & troop seats. Going to share for anyone else that finds themselves in this post looking for information down the road.

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

Not being rude, but I'd be more worried about having the truck where you lived legally before the odometer. CA needs DPF on all diesel highway vehicles now, with only a few exceptions. Miles really isn't relevant anyways. You buying it and driving it across the country is more miles than it's...

    MEP 803A Fix-up Thread

Seafoam is good stuff! It's already in the fuel tank and crank case, along with ATF. Mentally, I'm prepared to just tear it down because I have everything except the head gasket at this point. I also want to learn how to do it, as a good chunk of the business I'm attempting to build up has to...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

Well yeah, these trucks had the outlines for their designs made in the late 80's. Most interstates in the US were 55mph still. Not comparable to vehicles 30 years newer.

    MEP 803A Fix-up Thread

I saw that thread with the mecanical gauge & though about it. I didn't however see that other say their engines run as low as 20psi after it was warm. I swear that my 802A's all stay up around 40psi even after days straight of running under 80% load. Maybe before pulling it apart, I will just...

    MEP 803A Fix-up Thread

I didn't get to say this much in the video because I tried it after all the recording was done... but it is above somewhere. I ran it to the point the oil pressure was so low I didn't want to cause other damage. Could I keep cycling it like that? Sure. I'd say in total, it ran for 1-1.5 hours...

    MEP 802A Fix-up Thread 3.0

I ended up moving this one onto a M116A3 trailer. Going to clean it all up a bit & complete to trailer kit, covert the trailer to 12v, and list it for sale like that I think. Been dragging my feet with everything else going on. Market is kind of flooded with the people buying them & putting the...
