Plus one on the grounding. Replacing the unit is not too much fun. The 3 tube is what you use, the military ordered the 4 tube so one could be utilized as a siphon drain, so if you can get by without that you are good to go.
No, used 383 from Rapco, hardener from Tractor Supply. It is a little on the shiny side for the first year, then flattens out. I like the hardener for several durability reasons but it is personal choice. The one obvious downside is I have some rattle cans from Rapco for touch up and they...
Thanks, guys! I have painted 4 trucks with Rapco and never had that problem (knock on wood). It has to have come through from the previous finish. I always use hardner, less time for the paint to be soft. Good luck on it!
I am betting your biggest problem will be insurance. Best of luck, hope you can get it going.
Last time I was in your town I saw your deuces running all over- I loved it!
You get a notorized bill of sale and a bonded title, but someone else (who has a bad attitude) has the legitimate title and can pop up at any time.
What could possibly go wrong?

Oil will screw up the dryer and the CTIS manifold. You can add oil to the steering drag link and the steering cylinder. Also oil can go into the air pacs on the brakes. By the way, it is not an air brake system as such.
I trained on the 106 at Ft Polk, but did not really see them in weapons use in VN. I was infantry but the last 2 months of my tour I became a field cook and we had one assigned to the kitchen. I grabbed it every time I heard a helicopter approaching, nothing but pure fun to drive. Wish I had...
All the sensor does is send a pulse every time it is near the teeth on the flywheel. If the one you list fits, has 2 wires, it will work.
I put an aftermarket tach in mine, but first removed the sensor and made sure it worked. There is no magic here, just one pulse per tooth. If the new...
The sensor is not a Cat part. It is a standard off the shelf magnetic pickup and there are several sources for it. Are you sure it is bad? They rarely fail. Could have a piece of metal on the pickup, or could be slightly out of adjustment.
Navo, that was the best video I have seen on these trucks! How did you mount the camera, and the wide angle of the camera really helps. Good job.
If you get the opportunity to drive an A2 you will be amazed at the difference in acceleration and noise. Neither is better, just very different...
If I remember right the power goes to the horn then up the wire to the button. When you push the button all you are doing is grounding the circuit to complete it, then it honks.
If the wire makes contact anywhere along the path it is the same as pushing the button.
