This gave an interesting idea. Converting display firearms to fire flares and fireworks...

    Making a fiberglass hood?

Yeah but it's fun and messy to do it on your own...

Anyone have a rod bolt they could loan me or know their measurements?

Cost is manageable... Especially when the $100-200/hour milling rate is reduced or removed due to the machine company being an active part of the project and a military contractor in business with myself and the government. Not to mention the machinist is question, is a good friend of mine...

Anyone have a rod bolt they could loan me or know their measurements?

Final specs and measurements on the rod bolts would be greatly appreciated as well as total cost from ARP. Please PM them to me. If a modified rod can be produced by my machinist then these rods bolts can be useful but depending on alteration of the rod design they may not be practical.

    Laws to display your GT

This is why I love Texas... 100% legal to carry a loaded rifle or shotgun in plain view.:grin::grin::grin::grin: As far as the legalities of weaponry. The easiest legal way to "mark" a weapon that is disarmed is to wrap a blue band around a major component of the weapon. This signals it...

    Making a fiberglass hood?

Theoretically, if he were to make a mold and spray in the fiberglass chopped mat with the proper resin it would have the build and strength of that cheap children's playground equipment from years back. Not sure how LIGHT it would be but it could hold a rather "healthy" individual.

    My truck got NOS!!!

    Some people don't... 8-)

    Loss of Power?

I'm hard as &$@# on mine but it's for a good reason other than just fun. Besides the truck seems to come alive and smooth out just over 2500. When I first picked her up I hit 3000 without thinking about it and have add ZERO ill effects as of yet. Not saying YOU should do it but mine managed to...

    Making a fiberglass hood?

Cause they can. Unfortunately that same mentality in a fat Air National Guard soldier has my hard top caved in a bit... :(

    My truck got NOS!!!

Not exactly. There are two forms of nitrous oxide. Medical and Industrial. One has sulphur and the other does not. One will get you high and the other can kill you. Either way the unfortunate tie to the brand NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) has been permanently burned into the fabric of society buy...

    Connecting Rods

They are cast rods. This can be seen by the way they break but that can also be attributed to the metal used and its elasticity vs. harness. Harder metals tend to snap and crack where more elastic metals with bend and warp. I have worked on, designed and built various engine types starting...

    Connecting Rods

Depends on what he can do with the design I send him. The facility he works at has the resources for both. I REALLY need to rip into one of these engines. Is there any particular reason the cap is cocked to that angle? I don't want to shoot myself in the foot but I believe this engine is...

    Connecting Rods

Not necessary. I am drawing it up in CAD and sending it to a machinist buddy of mine for prototyping. Thank you.

    Connecting Rods

Short of ripping down my own multi-fuel I have no access to connecting rods but I would like to know the measurements. Does any one have one on hand an a caliper to take measurements? I am looking to have a set of forged h-beams created for the application. I also have the same request for the...

    24 Volt Gauges

I'm not sure about gimpy's but mine is a demotivational poster featuring Black Water. The funny thing us the guy had a striking resemblance for myself. So much so my mom asked me when I became a military contractor and why I didn't tell her.

    24 Volt Gauges

Shows how little I know about these rigs. Guess I could have checked the input voltage to the guages before asking.

    24 Volt Gauges

Forgive my ignorance but I have been unable to find an answer through searching. What gauges have you all used for EGT and Boost? I have very little knowledge on 24 volt system and big trucks to begin with. I actually feel a bit ashamed considering the knowledge I possess on standard...

    Handful of issues

Got her home. The Starting Relay was packed with ice and snow causing a short of the signal from the start button. I will be checking out the entire electrical system and using this badass aerospace sealant I have to seal all exposed connections. I'll give updates as they come.

    Handful of issues

The truck is in Corinth and just got stickered yesterday morning. It's tagged, inspected and insured but some po-po decided it needed to be towed. Either way I sent you a PM.
