    Weird steering isssue prize

KID tracked vehicle. Very cool machine. I used to have an early M29 Weasel, but sold it due to a small yard and aggressive zoning dept. I always wanted a KID KID by LTV Aerospace

That sounds like the Coot atv, but this one has tracks.

The Bv202 is the closest yet but not the right tires to cylinders ratio....The mystery vehicle is American made.

Bargain M1028 from the towing yard!

I like that NO STARTING FLUID stencil on the air cleaner. That looks like a nice low-miles truck that has survived in nice shape. Congrats!

It's strong suit was mud and snow. They didn't make many at all. Vietnam Era, not necessarily adopted and issued.

Round two Ok Warwag, here's your chance: This Vietnam era vehicle had twice as many tires as engine cylinders, and was all wheel drive. It had a seating capacity of two. What is it? Your sign is on the line.

Man that was fast! Jatonka has hit the nail on the head.... I had a tight axle universal joint with no grease fittings. I hit it with some Kroil, and also gave it a few taps with a hammer. It loosened up, and gave me no problems after that. It really did feel like suspension or steering...

    Military motorcycle models and makes

Unusual military bike OK, you hit my soft spot...military bikes. The most recognizable is the WWII Harley WLA. If you can scare up a frame and a fork, (The most expensive parts) there are a lot of surplus engines out there still, as well as plenty of parts. Anything scarce is now reproduced...

    Weird steering isssue prize

Not on my M1008, but my old Ford F150 4x4. I was driving along, and came to a curve in the road. I went to turn, and it felt like my steering got stuck and the truck wanted to keep going straight. Then, it felt like something 'let go' and the truck turned into the curve. It really felt like a...

    CUCV passing through Hartford, CT?

I was driving to a woodworker supply place Monday night 11-29-2010, and on Rte 84 in Hartford CT in the westbound lane was a tractor-trailer with a flatbed trailer, hauling a nice looking M1009. Anybody on here own it? I took it as a sign..... I have been wanting an M1009, and thinking about...

    CUCV Never Ending Problems

Chasing problems I once bought a Russian (Ukraine actually) sidecar rig from a guy who had nothing but problems with it. I got it to run...not great, but running. EVERY ride I took was under a half hour, and after EVERY ride, it required work, fixing what I call minor issues. Some times it...

    The clicking, the clicking!

Dash pictures really help! Thanks for those pictures of 'inside the dash'. Now I know what I will be looking for/at as I try to solve the click. H.

    The clicking, the clicking!

I have a strange click in my dash, and it sounds like a relay. Today I started the truck, and drove around the hay field, listening to it click (Bumps seem to aggravate it, smooth road gives no click). I reached under the dash and pulled out one relay at a time, test drove it, and still had a...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Replaced seat My M1008 had nice seat covering, but the foam was shot. The truck was miserable to drive...any bump resulted in my seat bottoming out on the truck seat frame. Very uncomfortable! I found a really nice seat at a flea market (Civilian black, but decent cover and firm foam). I...

    M101A2 Picatinny question

Only kidding! Thanks for the info, and you are right that I am only kidding. I would never try anything shady like switching numbers on an item. Somebody always gets burned when that happens. Some try it though. I bid on a Civil War sword at an auction once, won the bid, and when I went to...

    M101A2 Picatinny question

Pictures of trailer I hope this is what I find when I go to pick it up. Maybe I should bring my own chalk and write the lot number on a better one!

    Won trailer for M1008

I don't have a registration or tag for it, and don't want to get pinched. Also I don't know the condition of the tires, bearings etc.
