As for speed of the coolant being cycled through the system... Wouldn't the bottom line be the operating temperature of the system under similar conditions? If anyone has hard data, I'd like to see it.
Thanks anyhow, with luck I may get to meet you. Just as a thought... Is anyone making Steel Soldier patches? Would love to put something like that on a baseball cap. Well, this thread needed a picture anyway. Cleveland Iron shows Cleveland Rust. *sigh*
Of course... If all else fails: http://www.arrl.org/question-pools ( Shhhh! Big secret! ) Here is a list of the actual FCC test questions. Only 1/4 of the questions will appear in any given test. Go over the questions, find your weaknesses and study. Good luck.
My first thought is one of the study guides that are out there. ( I got mine from HRO) 2nd thought is a local ham radio club. A lot depends on what questions you are weak on. If there are any hamfests in the area, see if you can pick up an older ARRL Amateur Radio Handbook. It contains the...
Actually... I feel it depends on the vehicle. My car was backed into by a van because I was not in his side mirrors and I was below his rear window. ( I was parked behind him; perfect positioning.) Of course some sort of "hey look out" sensor might be good.
Welcome from the north coast! This is a great place to hangout and swap stories about our variant of OD fever. Now I'll be brutal... Pics are a social imperative around here. We need to see everyone else's OD iron so we have an excuse to show ours... ( As if anyone of us ever needed an excuse. )
Yep... We were all FNGs at one point. I read through a lot of the TMs before I got my deuce, but until I actually had to work on it I knew nothing. ( I still know very little but the more I hang out here, the more I find out. There are things that are not and never will be in the TMs. ) Start...
Ok... Two switches and a relay... Switch one: ON, OFF, ACCESSORY. Switch two: TIMER with RESET. Also a set of status lights... Then if you need to get really fancy, install a voltage sensor to kill the relay if the battery voltage drops too low. This is one of those projects that can get as...
I've said it before... I'm a big fan of fusible links. Much cheaper than any sort of fried batteries, vaporized terminals or even ( heaven forbid ) a fire. If you want, hang a remote 24V bulb across the link to show the link is fried.
Print out the sections you need as you need them. Most printers will print both sides of the paper. ( Some requiring manual help...) Then just use a 3 hole binder. If you mess up some pages - not unusual in a shop situation - you can always reprint that section.
Err... I picked up some 24V relays at a - local Cleveland - place called Electronics Surplus. There were three sets of contacts rated at 10 amps in each relay. Figured 30 amps would be plenty for my modest needs. Don't remember the price but they were definitely under $10 each. ( They are the...
Make a drain to vent through and don't forget the flapper valve in the drain like the clutch... I've said over and over again I like relays for switching things. Hook the coil up to the accessory switch and you don't have to worry about switching it off. If you are getting electrical noise...
There is, and always will be issues with parallel batteries. Unless the batteries are perfect or have special support circuitry... Any sort of voltage difference means current flow between the batteries. The limitation here is the internal resistance of the battery. As the batteries age any...
Hi! Read the TMs for your vehicle. Figure out the search functions for previous posts and you should get lots of good information here. Most of all have fun!
