I started having what I thought was a fuel supply problem and started checking everything. I knew I was due for an oil change and I had noticed a small leak from the hole in the bell housing, so I checked the oil while I was at it. I was stupid for not checking it sooner.

Any update would be greatly appreciated as I am having a near identical problem. I was 4 qts low on oil (yeah, i know..) and topping it off seemed to fix the lack of power and surging problem I was having.

The switch has always been fairly loose, but it happened with no real warning. By loose I mean that there isn't much resistance or change in feel between the different positions (Acc, off, on, start). The first time it happened all the lights on my dash stayed on and the starter stayed engaged...

I did the doghead starter relay mod, but about 6 months later, the starter stuck again. Turns out my ignition wasn't popping back out of "start" once I let go of the key. It took me a couple of starts before I realized what was happening.

Any updates on this? I am now having a very similar problem. My CUCV doesn't stall, but has NO power uphill and randomly while driving.

Here is a quick update... I have been talking to GL and they said they have never been asked to fill out this form in NC. The management there is discussing what to do. I told them that it was a pretty benign form and that they should just fill it out for me. CGarbee, how can I get in touch...

That is a thought too, but hopefully I won't have to resort to it. They have several locations here in NC so I could probably use this tactic. Thanks for the idea!

I just had the front hubs apart because I needed new rotors. I guess I will need to take it apart again just in case. As for the diffs, I have the gaskets and oil and had planned on changing the oil out soon so now is as good a time as ever.

It just had BF Goodrich AT's put on it Monday. They have less than 50 miles on them, but I probably put another 50 on trying to get it out... The ruts from yesterday filled up with water overnight too. We are expecting 3 inches of rain Saturday so I need to get it out tomorrow!
