Submittal one day, sent to Battle Creek next day!

Well here's a first for me. I faxed my EUC this morning about 5:15am my time for the auction that closed last night. Checked my status a few minutes ago and it was sent to Battlecreek today. What's this world coming to? Joe

    14.00 vs. 395/85R on M813

Well I went down today to pick up some tires. I won a couple of M35's last night so I decided to get a set for the bob job I plan to do and I picked up two 14.00's for my M813. They didn't have many tires so it was slim pickin's. They say there are not many 14.00 coming through any more but I...

I just "won" four of them.

    14.00 vs. 395/85R on M813

I worry about everything. There's probably a name for such a condition. It looks like all of those will handle the weight. Thanks for the info. Joe

    14.00 vs. 395/85R on M813

Well here's the question. I can find lots of 395's and not many 14.00's. Can I put the smaller tires on my truck? The biggest question is what is the 395 rated for weight? The 14.00 is rated at 9920 pounds I think. I would not consider anything less on the front. Thoughts? Joe

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

One more thing. Yesterday I "proposed" we bob a deuce. I now withdraw my offer to do this. If someone is crazy enough to do it, I'll help, but it looks like I have talked my wife into coming and my time will be spend entertaining her (which is better than entertaining you guys ;)). Anybody...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I have a few thoughts on fund raising. Keep in mind I will go along with the crowd and you can't offend me. But I personally like auctions because it's kind of fun if you get a real nut (Kenny or the like) to be the auctioneer and people like me always have something I don't really need but is...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Here's another thought. It might have been covered before. What do you guys think of a charity auction Friday night and the proceeds go to Steelsoldiers. I know most of us have donated money from time to time, but I always have stuff that I could donate and might bring a few dollars. They...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I'm fool enough to make a few suggestions. If anybody want to, and I have the room I can bring a tire cage and brake down and mount some tires. If anybody need to work off a few miller lights and wanted to move the tires around and swing the hammer, they can help (not while under the influence...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Well I have not had time to read much here lately, so I hope I don't repeat any one else. I have decided anything I have around here that I have done nothing with in a year or so can be loaded and sold at the rally. I really need to reduce the stuff on my property. I had a bunch of stuff...

    It appears I just won a M750

I should have mentioned earlier, but everything when smooth. The lights even worked (brake lights). The only thing I couldn't figure out was how the brakes worked. I hooked up the lines and activated the brakes to get it hooked up. It was pushing it back until I did that. Then when I got...

    It appears I just won a M750

Operation "drive the oven 7 hours to pick up something I don't need but really wanted" was a complete success. I drove 250 miles round trip, took a little over 6 hours. The XM818 performed well. It is now for sale. It ran great with fuel in the tank . I was looking the plate over and...

Load out help at Goose Creek,SC / Fort Bragg, NC

I just got back from Goose Creek. I asked about help loading they said they had a fork lift that would be able to put a truck on a trailer. I asked if it could pull the truck and they said yes. For what it's worth, it's a real pain to get on base. It took me about a half hour to get checked...

Load out help at Goose Creek,SC / Fort Bragg, NC

I will be at Goosecreek in the morning if all goes well. I will try to post info on the facility when I get home. It's a good chance I will spend the afternoon playing with my new toy and will forget about posting anything, but I'll try to remember. Don't forget who ever goes down there will...

    Thinking of buying a halftrack

I'll have to chime in too. I have always wanted a half track and I have one in the back yard in very poor shape and one parts vehicle too. I found both of them in a junk yard a few hours north of my home. I may never have the time and money to do much with them, but I have always wanted one...

    m101 bed vs m105 bed

Here's the other truck I built. I drove it to the Georgia rally a few years back. It has a stock bed shortened and narrowed with a M105 tailgate. It was a fabulous work truck and it was a dumper too. If I had made better financial decisions back then I would still have it :-(

    m101 bed vs m105 bed

I personally think my M116 bed with taller sides, M105 tailgate, deuce front bumper (on the back) and deuce front fenders looks the best. I also think I look the best, so I may be partial

    HELP M818 down

DUMMY ALERT!!! Well I spoke with Adam earlier today and found out a few things about the M818. First off, the fuel "switch" on the dash only controls the gauge. I ASSUMED it controlled which tank you pulled fuel from. Of course I wondered why there was a switch on the floor, but...
