One brand, Hayden, advertises 170 degree F. engagement temp. Supposedly 25 degrees lower than stock, although the 195 figure is not fully confirmed. This is for their 2799 severe duty clutch.
Depending on where the actual leak is in the section of line you mention, it could run as you saw, or if closer to the intake could also run down the valley drain and exit on the drivers side.
My understanding of the concern is that if the diaphragm in the mechanical pump fails/ruptures you can dump diesel fairly quickly into your crankcase. Not really possible if only using the mechanical pump since it would no longer pump if that was broken.
Try to see if the tubing is off angle.
Over the years I have found that if the tubing is not square to the fitting the nut will be difficult to thread in. The angles are off just enough to prevent the threads from catching. Try inserting the tubing fully into the fitting before trying to...
Hi Nathan,
Something to consider is what the cost will be to bring some of these parts with you vs having them shipped. Leaf springs for example are long and heavy.
You say the truck is not currently sitting well. Is it an aesthetic perspective or is it physically sitting incorrectly? I ask...
We recently rented a 2016 Suburban. Very nice truck. Had the same issue with the warnings. Very annoying. Must be a legal reason behind it.
I am having serious sticker shock these days. I just can't see spending $60k+ on a new truck no matter how nice. Bill Of Materials costs can't be...
No detentes on the column at all. All in the transmission. The indicator on the column is properly indexed for the transmission type. I believe the OD and 3 speed indicators are "close enough" for P,N,R and D that you don't "have" to change it out. I would. As already indicated, the pointer...
This is correct. Take a look at the -34 section 5 page 5 (5-5) or physical page 365 for details on the transmission linkage adjustment procedure. This should help.
If memory serves, that rail does not join to a tube. It joins to fins. If so, I would probably run it. However, this is based on memory and three internet images.
See any signs of the the AL cracking? Tube or tank damage? Then I would be concerned. Not even sure I would try to straighten...

Sounds like the type of catastrophic damage that is caused when a front driveshaft is jammed back into the t-case. Snapping the t-case in half along a line parallel to front/back in a somewhat vertical plane, keeping the left half of the case...
I've been looking all over the interwebs and cannot find a single instance of a 208 case splitting due to a catastrophic chain failure. I'm sure that it can happen, just finding nothing out there.
A couple of examples:

That looks identical to the APDI/PRO unit I picked up from Rackauto for about $150. Yes, the warranty is a lot shorter but I can buy more than two for that price [thumbzup]
For what it is worth, and as was stated before, you really should plan on dropping the tanks and flushing/clearing the fuel system all the way through from one end to the other. You cannot solve this by just swapping parts in between and hoping the issue will resolve.
You need to think of this...
