    Help identify this truck box

If I can track down who owns it, what would a 1 1/2 ton box be worth?

    Help identify this truck box

I think maybe you're right. The beveled box corners was what was confusing me. Did a search for "G506 Dump" and found pics of trucks with similar boxes.

    Help identify this truck box

Ran across this trailer made from what looks like a WWII military truck box...at first I thought CCKW or 1 1/2 Ton Chevy but doesn't seem to match. Shorter and narrower than a CCKW (108" x 70" on tag) and doesn't look like the 1 1/2 ton pics I found (beveled corners on front of box) Anyone...

    12/24v Trailer Lights

Got a quick reply from Trucklite:..............."Quote"...We have some multi volt lamps rated to operate from 10-30 Volts, See attached links to our catalog.2 1/2" lamp part numbers 10256R ( RED) 10256Y (...

    12/24v Trailer Lights

Just got off the phone with Trucklite asking about multi-volt lights. They have different kinds of marker lights already available and are coming out with a 4" dia. Stop/Turn/Tail multi-volt light. (red only for now) The tech support gal I talked to is going to find out when it's going to be...

    12/24v Trailer Lights

Might work ok, but kind of pricey. Only problem I see is that the converter seems to be very sensitive to how many lights are on the trailer. If I can find LED's that work with either 12 or 24 volt it would seem to be a much simpler solution.

    12/24v Trailer Lights

That might be an option if I can locate the supplier.

    12/24v Trailer Lights

I've looked through both Trucklite & Grote and haven't found any multi-volt lights other than military style (not practical on a lowboy)

    12/24v Trailer Lights

Lots of post here about making military trailers work with civilian trucks.......what I need to do is find 12/24v LED tail & marker lights to put on a civilian lowboy trailer so I can pull it with either a civilian or military truck.I plan on adding a military trailer plug and splicing it into...

    M931 engine/trans oil

Found this page: It seems to indicate that OE/HDO is equivilent to API CI-4http://www.uslube.com/SPEC%20SHEETS/Mil%20Spec%20H.pdf

    M931 engine/trans oil

The manual I have has a last change date of 30 Sept, 2004 (TM 9-2320-272-10)....I downloaded it direct from the logsa.army.mil site a while back.It seems to support the idea that they've gone to a single oil for engine & trans as it lists 15-40 for trans except for very cold operation.Still not...

    M931 engine/trans oil

The TM lists "OE/HDO 15/40" for both the trans & engine unless used in very cold weather and then Dextron III is recommended. Don't have any idea what oil would be an equivalent to the OE/HDO. Since I don't know what's currently in the trans, if it gets low I probably should do a complete...

    M931 engine/trans oil

I'm sure any good 15/40 diesel oil is OK for the engine but does the trans oil have any special requirements that not all 15-40 engine oils will meet? (I usually stock Case-IH engine oil for my other equipment)

    Source for inexpensive OD paint?

Thinking of sprying my M931 just to make it look a little more presentlable. Not concerned with a perfect paint job or with using a CARC paint.....probably will just pressure wash it really good (to take off the lichen growing on the hood) and knock down any really rough spots with a sanding...

    M931 Brake issue

I do understand how air brakes work...wasn't looking for basic information. Was just trying to find out how to diagnose the buzzer problem. I did misuderstand the spring brake overide button since it's not set up like a commercial truck. The problem isn't that I'm losing air pressure....it...

    M931 Brake issue

Haven't been around this truck much so I'm not that familiar with it.... So if I understand what the manual says, the spring brake overide button is only used during maint. check of brakes and not like a commercial truck as a park brake. So, does the floor mounted park brake also dump the air...

    M931 Brake issue

On my M931 the low air brake buzzer usually goes off after pressure builds up but after braking a few times it comes on again. The brakes operate normally, but I've found that the spring brake override button won't lock the brakes in either in/out position. The manual parking brake (lever on...

    Iowa Title for M931

Title Received! Finally got the Iowa title for my M931 just over a year after I bought it. Could’ve had it sooner if I’d had the time. Didn’t know how sticky they were going to be so I wired in marker light on the rear and cab top and made sure all the other lights were working. Not much else...

    Iowa Title for M931

The only reason I got hung up in the title issue was the VIN No. was only 15 digits long, not the standard 17 digits. Once they saw that, it was pushed up the to main DOT office where they refused it because of the lack of the Fed. safety sticker. Funny thing is I know of another guy in the...

    Iowa Title for M931

The problem in Iowa was that they were refusing to transfer title to any vehicle that didn't have the Federal safety sticker (which very few military vehicles have) They changed the law last July to allow them to be titled, but you are required to show that they "substantially" meet safety...
