    Hippo

Here is a mobile HIPPO 2032E unit that I thought I would share some pictures of. Hydraulic, pneumatic and electric in one package - pretty slick. Been here a few days but the heat has been so bad I couldn't get out to work on it. Finally cooled down and now the tornado sirens are blowing so...

    Freightliner M916 Crew Cab

James - I will try to download and post them tomorrow - right now I have to go in to work. I tried to link to the completed auction, but couldn't. If you log into your GSA account you will find it by going to "other" closed auction and type in: TRACTOR WITH BOAT HAULER/CRADLE Cheers Cody

    Freightliner M916 Crew Cab

GSA. Derrick - I figured you got that one - your collection is pretty stellar. That would have been a nice addition - plus I am in driving distance to you so I could have made a road trip to see it! Cheers Cody

    Freightliner M916 Crew Cab

This was one of the more interesting sales that ended today. Lots of money, but pretty rare truck. If I remember there were either 16 or 18 of these made for the NAVY. Went for 50K plus fees.

    Unimog S.E.E at G/L?

There have been a few surplussed over the last several years. Probably about 30 or 40. There were about 2000 in service (someone pipe in as I don't know the exact number). Not sure how many are overseas, but I would expect quite a few yet to come out of service in the USA. I wouldn't expect...

    Germany anyone????

Well, this is a request for the longest transport to date on SS. Actually just looking for someone stationed in Germany near Floh-Seligenthal. I found a winch for the MAN Wrecker and need a local pick-up and storage until I can arrange freight. It is about 2000 Lbs so not light, but is on a...

    Wrecker light bar- odd connections?

Did a little more digging on your cable. I believe it is NSN 6150-01-210-3671, which is listed as a subcomponent of the Howitzer. So I think that is the light cable for towing a howitzer, which would explain the difference in pins on the one end. Hope that clears things up a bit. tcody

What to buy? Looking to get a tractor...

Don't forget the fees for license. Some states it isn't a big deal. Others you have to license the bigger trucks as commercial which can be expensive.

    Wrecker light bar- odd connections?

Well - I may have pulled the trigger too soon. I guess the memory isn't as good as I thought. The whole part number is HD56 18-8SN-059. I did a quick google and here is a place that looks like they can get it. http://www.ralphselectronics.com/SearchResults.aspx?criteria=HD56-18-8SN More...

    Wrecker light bar- odd connections?

If you can't return it replace the plug. The correct one is a LADD HD56-18-8 I think they will loan/rent the crimping tool to you. Good luck.

    Wrecker light bar- odd connections?

I don't think that is the correct cable for the towlight. I think they are all like pic #1.
