    CUCV Radiator recommendation

For what it's worth, heater line size is 3/4" ID, not 5/8" ID....my local O'Reilly's parts guy looked up 5/8" ID incorrectly.

    CUCV Radiator recommendation

Thanks.....think I got the lines safely removed from the radiator......one o-ring on one oil was a little torn so I will need to replace it. Let me know what your Autozone radiator looks like......seems they've gone to aluminum within plastic.

    CUCV Radiator recommendation

Reading the description on this radiator......would I need to re-use the o-rings for my oil cooler lines? Or are the O-rings already encapsulated in the cooler line fittings in the radiator? Thanks for this info.

How was your experience with this one? Direct fit?

Spectra CU850 radiator is a three core, not four :(

Well, I didn't want to replace my radiator but guess I will......had hoses off for replacement and was flushing with water at moderate pressure and was truly shocked at the amount of gunk on the the tube openings inside the radiator.....I flushed and flushed and the tubes at the top of the...

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Very helpful, thank you. The Yukon strap bolts seemed fine, but I'll see if I can order the GM straps.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The foam prefilter on my air filter looked like a feast for mice on my south Texas deer lease, so I fabricated a mouse shield as I've done for other hunting trucks....

    Terminus M1009

Thankfully my gear oil was the golden honey color as well when replacing the pinion yoke yesterday.....a pleasant surprise

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Yep, but no big deal to unbolt drive shaft.......I'll take the truck to a transmission shop to have rear output seal replaced on the transmission (thinking that's the source of my leak), and then have the new adapter put in at that time to replace the current cracked adapter. Then when it all...

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Neither do I! Original U-joint was sliding in the straps in the original yoke. I replaced the original U-joint in the driveshaft with the Spicer 1350 and then test fit in the original yoke and had like 1/16" movement back and forth in the yoke, so knew then I needed to replace the yoke -...

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Yukon strap part # is YY STR-007.......supposed to fit Spicer 1350 u-joint with 1.188" cap diameter

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

The Yukon yoke didn't have outside tabs like the OEM to retain the u-joint caps......on the Yukon the space for the caps is recessed into the yoke itself.......very form fitting to the exact width of the 3.625" width of the spicer 1350 u-joint

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Spicer 1350 series u-joint, U5-799. I think OEM yoke was abused due to bent drive shift vibrating horribly in the yoke. I've since had the driveshaft re-tubed and balanced.

Leaking Transfer Case - Best Kits for Repair

Verified part of the reason I had issues with the rear u-joint sliding in the straps/yoke and contributing to rear end vibration was the OEM yoke was 1/16" wider than the Yukon yoke I replaced it with today......I notice the new Yukon straps are not exactly formed yet to the new...

Factory style floor covering. Who's the best?

There was a plastic disc in the shipping box with lettering that says "K-17 Alliance Plastics Co. Erie, PA 1" I'll give it a couple days over the weekend to unfold from being shipped, but still disappointed it's 1/16" thick vs the 1/8" thick LMC represented in their catalog.....very disappointing.

Factory style floor covering. Who's the best?

Got my LMC mat today.......it's supposed to be 1/8" thick, but it's not, 1/16" thick only......not sure they sent me the right mat.....does have some texture on top.....looks to be 6' wide by 5' tall, so will require significant trimming.....not impressed

Factory style floor covering. Who's the best?

I appreciate all advice......While replacing door weatherstripping and kick panels over the weekend, I did use shop vac to remove all crud from the door sills, and those were in excellent shape.....I did notice some surface rust on the floor pan nearby on driver's side.....once I get the new...
