Added some 3.5" flood lights for the front and also in the rear as backup lights

Once you fire that led bar up and see the results, I am going to follow suit. I have the same brush guard as both of you, was thinking about putting a smaller led bar on the bottom of it to light up lower (same thing as the bumper lights are doing) and throwing some cubes on the windshield hinge...

    My new 1993 HMMWV 998

Thanks. Yup, backup camera was a necessity with Bulldogger's soft slantback, he put a solid panel in for me instead of a window (running a spare tire mount, blocked the view anyway). I used this kit, just painted it carc green to blend in and riveted it to the doghouse cover...

    My new 1993 HMMWV 998

Good choice on the tach, just put mine in. Very nice to know what the revs are. I'm seeing 2850 or so at 55mph. I used the block heater plenty when the glow plugs went south, starts up instantly.

Like it! And good job on the antenna mount lights, great idea! I've been thinking about how to set some light on my front end because that option is no longer available due to the winch. How's the light you put on your hood Joe, and any pics of it working?

    My new 1993 HMMWV 998

Do it. Peace of mind. Get this guy too, you'll thank me: https://real4wd.com/store/Glow-Plug-Removal-Tool Test your glow plug wires. Mine were getting 24v 100% of the time when the ignition was on. Smart box was a little messed up, worked otherwise still giving the wait to start light for 8...

Starter cranks in ON position and continues to crank after engine starts.

I had the same thing happening with a keyed ignition switch. Cheap, wore out. Might want to pick up a new ignition switch to make sure it's not the cheaper item first.

    Passenger Side Mirror

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

That's a good idea! Beats throwing money away on overpriced window cages. Very interested to know your results. Obviously, the lighting will not hit the ground in front for a ways due to the hood blocking it, but you could always throw a secondary on your front bumper to supplement...

    Humvee aftermarket Jack

Agreeing with Mike. Search "NOS HUMMER H1 M998 original scissor jack KITS WITH Bag" on the bay. $85 These are the standard ones, I have the same kit and it works great for changing out wheels (paid more for mine) . Had considered the hydraulic, just didn't see the need as it does the same...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

The boy scouts still do firearms expositions? That's a relief, it seems the current progressive opinion is to have them sell girl scout cookies :-|

    Tacom Half-shafts

They sell them on a site owned by a gentleman going through a rather expensive divorce currently. Claim is they are American made and OEM.

    Tacom Half-shafts

Anybody tried the "authentic military non-Chinese" Tacom 10k half-shafts? Good / bad? Obviously Kascar & Adventure Accessories are good places to go for half-shafts but the prices are quite steep.

    Fording Kit Dipstick Question

Thanks 86humv for pointing that out, I was looking at the picture in reverse and had mixed up the transmission and oil sticks. Thank you too for sending the package with those DWF parts, just got it. Looks good! So you are confirming that Oil Dipstick 12339846 is for a 6.2 litre engine & Oil...

    Fording Kit Dipstick Question

Quick question regarding the DWF kit. Have most of the parts I've put together, but am uncertain on the specific oil tube & dipstick I need. I have Dipstick 12339846 & Tube 12469130 but don't know if these are correct for my 6.2L? It's been tough finding specific documentation for this and the...
