I removed the old side windows in the CUCV to repaint the fiberglass top, I have new rubber gaskets to install the glass in but need to know if I need to use a adhesive or sealant to install the rubber

With a little down time from work , I had the original rims sandblasted and than primed and painted them at home. Dropped the rims off at a tire shop for new tires and swapped them with the ugly chrome rims that were on it.

Currently repainting the original rims, there is a chrome set on the vehicle now and I am looking for black center caps, open for the front tires and closed for the back tires, I can only find chrome ones in the LMC catalog

I installed the harness yesterday, very easy to do could not believe how much brighter the lights are. Still thinking about doing the LED upgrade my vision at night is not what it used to be.

Did some more work on the top, pulled the side glass and continued to do the prep before I apply the 2K primer

I have not heard of anything for the wiper assembly

Did the LMC headlight relay install, went very smooth I changed the connections on the grounds so they would fit the factory ground better. The headlights are considerably brighter and now removed from the overloaded fuse that was vexing me earlier. I have been looking into the LED units but...

Earlier in this discussion I said I found a old 5.56 blank round when I was moving the back seat. The primer had signs that it had been fired but just in case I soaked the round in penetrating oil for a few days. I than drilled it and a bit of time with some brasso I cleaned it up.

I paid a transport company to ship my M1009 from Des Moines Iowa to Houston Texas

Pulled the top off so I can begin to repair the fiberglass roof, folded the rear seat up to really vacuum up the cargo area and found a 5.56 blank round in the floor recess for the back seat.

I had a similar problem, the plastic in the fuse box was melted and the connector was actually cracked that it would not hold the fuse in, and the circuit would fail. So I replaced the connector and relocated it in the fuse box. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/fuse-block-melted.201812/

I was asking in particular to connecting to the battery, if the way they are interconnected would require anything special. I am still new to the cucv and treating everything as a learning experience

Is there anything different that needs to be done if the M1009 is still the 24v original set up
