    Soft Top Blazer

Good luck finding the replacement parts. The soft top stopped being an option in the 70's. Softopper - Pickup Truck Toppers, Camper Shells & Caps - Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge & More makes soft tops now, no clue if they'd sell bits and pieces. Bestop hasn't made their soft top for the K5 in...

    M1009 Wheel Questions..

You'd want about a 3.5 to 4" backspacing. The stock 15x8's had 4" of backspacing so this would push your rim out 2" basically. Personally I prefer 15x8's for that width wheel but it's my preference for wheeling, not looks.

    Replacing M1008 exhaust system

What he said. Just buy a manifold back system for a 80's K30 longbed with a SBC and it'll bolt right too it.

    tops off

Get a good quality new seal. Problem solved. Folks try to reuse the original or get the LMC crap and it doesn't seal correctly. Me personally I'm going the soft top route.

    Interior coating for M1009

Regular CARC paint or whatever green paint with the non skid additive (basically silica sand) added in to it.

    Deuce tires on the CUCV???

Standard, OEM, non upgraded 1 tons are about maxed with 44's. Go beyond that, especially with the heavy military tires and the heavy 20" wheels required to run them, and you're on borrowed time. 4-Wheel & Off-Road built up a Super Duty for their Ultimate Adventure back in '02 or '03 with 46"...

Anybody looking for some M880 5 leaf + overload rear springs?

I have a set. NOS original Dodge parts, Government surplus. Guy I bought them from represented them as Chevy M1009 rear springs, which they do resemble. Now I can't use them. Anybody looking for a set? I'm in Lexington, KY.

    Feedback on 4" lift kits

Chris is a member over on CK5 so he can be contacted on there as well. Has a **** of a truggy. 4" rear lift springs are going to ride harsher and have less articulation than a stock set of springs and a shackle flip. Also cost more. Less axle wrap and you're starting over with new springs...

    tall and narrow tires

Tires are a lot more expensive than they used to be. I was surprised when I bought my 305/70R16's in March. Ouch.

Aftermarket Turbo install versus 700R4 transmission swap...

3.08's are just too high to do both effectively. The 6.2L would be WAY out of it's power band at any high speed.

Aftermarket Turbo install versus 700R4 transmission swap...

You could do a gearing swap possibly but you'd loose top end speed somewhat. Depends though. Find a set of half tons with 3.42's and the owner would likely be giving them away. You get more oomph to the ground and your top speed probably wouldn't go down too bad. Yep, Lexington is my latest...

Aftermarket Turbo install versus 700R4 transmission swap...

As he said, what vehicle do you have? Tire size, drivetrain, etc? If you can do 80 then you probably don't have a M1008 pickup with the 4.56 gears. Betting you have a M1009 Blazer with the 3.08 gears. Reason you're running out of power is you're trying to push a 25 or so year old square...

Yup, every MV has them. Similar setup to the old days but some of the controls have changed.

    Feedback on 4" lift kits

Both suck. Tuff Country's the most popular out there right now. Good ride, good articulation, good product. You'll need steering correction. Now would be a good time to do crossover steering. Get an ORD steering box brace. You'll need everything you mentioned to properly use the kit. If...
