    Found these in the oilpan

Pull the filters before you pull the pan. It will save you a ton of work. I had a truck that was new to me and the engine ran great. during some much needed maintenance I had the filter cans off and found shavings in the filter base and filter. There were enough that I knew there was some...

help with starting without Starting fluid.

Some times the hose starts to seperate in between the layers and you get a blister that can turn into a bulge. I think a new section of hose will cure it. I would check all the other hoses too, even the the one behind the oil filter cans. You could have your radiator cap checked if you...

Nice neat repair, I hate it when you take the time to do a good job and it still don't work! I would keep looking for other bad spots as the harness looks perdy crusty. That hose looks a little swolen on the engine side. Don't worry once you get all those little things fixed you will enjoy...

help with starting without Starting fluid.

As to the wiring short, I would look for"new work" any splices or make shift wire harness. Anywhere there was any modification, including suspension and steering areas. Sometimes a torch or misplaced drill bit can cause wacky things to happen. Also, that short may have been what smoked your...

I had My pick up bed done last year by Linex. Very happy with it. I did not like the gummy look of the Rhino liner.

;-) Was the pump on an angle in the tank like in pic 5? I wonder if anyone in your area has a good used (clean)tank?

help with starting without Starting fluid.

That is not what I had expected, I was thinking real smashed. I don't think that would affect anything. It is funny, Your truck is so big that tank looks like it would only hold ten gallons. So now it starts cold but wont run. I wonder if you could remote mount a fuel gauge from the top of...

    Need some help please..

I wonder if you got some water in #1 and it slugged the injector and broke something in the injector. I don't even know if that is possable but something has to give. That bad injector could have been what was causing the knocking sound. I hope it smoothes out. Search the posts about oil...

How much fuel was in it? Are You in a hilly area? So cold it started right up and ran well? Do you have a pic of your fuel tank? I would like to see the dent in it.

    Need some help please..

I am just hoping that you did not suck up enough to damage the engine. In your first video I hear a sound, kind of like a tip of a ball peen hammer tapping on cast iorn. I would be surprised if it were water in the fuel causing the ruff running, but I hope so.

What do I take when I pick up a Deuce

1000 miles which direction? There are members all over and most are willing to help with a little fore warning. You might find a soldier B and C.

What do I take when I pick up a Deuce

I would say to bring a tractor with a 35" Landall. Do you have a tow light set up for the towed truck? Removing the drive shaft? You have alot of work to do by yourself. This is risky with one person, You can't get a soldier B? I wish you luck, But You should consider other options...

You should get it on the road and run it. idling wont work the gov. much. Gimp is prolly right about the timing. I just wanted you to make shure it was. You may want to change the tank depending on how severe the dent is.

#1 is closeest to radiator. No pressure on valve springs (from rocker arms), both valves should be closed.

As long as #1 was at TDC compression stroke, and there were no valves open you should be good. Pull the front valve cover and turn the crank so all the marks line up, then check the valves. You should not have any pressure on #1 intake and exhaust valves. The red tooth in the window should be...

help with starting without Starting fluid.

Just letting it run will push most, if not all the air out of the lines. Since You had the lines cracked any way you prolly have it all out. I know of no adjustments on the HH. So, Starting problem solved ?
