    Air Horn not fitting

CUCVRUS--I don't think it is for the Hummer. It is a black cylindrical structure that fits into the opening of the air filter housing. I found it on Ebay. Tom Lovinggood

    Air Horn not fitting

Hello--I have recently purchased an air horn that fits onto our air filter housing in my M1009. However, I am having trouble orienting it so that it fits into the engine bay. If it is oriented towards the left front head light, it runs into the heater hose. If I orient it towards the right...

    Radiator Grill Cover

Hello. I have recently purchased a cold weather grill cover for my M1009. I am at a loss as to how to install it. I understand that the snaps install on top of the radiator support, but, the lower part doesn't fit. Do you have to remove the bumper to install it? Thanks in advance. Tom Lovinggood

    M1009 has loud idle

Thanks to all that responded. Yes, a couple of the bolts that secure the power steering pump went missing and the last one had almost backed out totally. A few new bolts installed, and that is all we needed. I should have noticed that the power steering pulley was wobbling horribly. Tom...

    M1009 has loud idle

Well, I found out late yesterday afternoon why my idle is so loud. I took my Blazer to a local shop that had worked on it before. They discovered that two of the boldts that hold the power steering pump had literally fallen out and the pump would vibrate badly on start up--seems that that was...

    Dumb question

Doghead--I checked the section on ebay on CUCV parts and there seem to be several isolated grounded alternators for sale--all in about the $200.00 range. Are these not what I am looking for?

    Dumb question

the bearings are probably shot in the alternator and that is why it makes the grinding noise. It still produces electrical power, however, but the grinding seems to be getting worse. It just make sense to replace it, as it not that expensive.
