Have you broke the glass ball out or installed an open fitting in place of the check valve? If you just install a new check valve it will soon be plugged again. I'm guessing the sock is refering to the pick up tube inside of your fuel tank. It's more likely the check valve is the problem though.

I've got one laying on the shelf, but I just didn't want to replace this one if I could get another year or 2 out of it. I'll probably plan on replacing it sometime this summer if you think it's on the way out.

Is it possible that adding conditioner to the fuel for the 1st time was the cause of this valve plugging, or is that just wishful thinking? The truck has 37K on it, but I know time is probably more important.

The check valve is my next step, i found a thread on here that suggested this to be a solution. I'll let you know if it was the problem.

How long have you owned the truck? Did you recently put additive in the fuel? If so it may be the 1st time it was ever done causing the filter to be clogged.

For now I jumped terminal Z from one of the terminals that wasn't being used. Everything worked except my brake lights. The blinkers worked for a while, but when I took it out for a drive they quit working. This wiring crap it giving me a headache................

Well I took the fuse box off last night and couldn't see anything wrong with it. If I jump power to the light terminal in the fuse box it works. I had power coming from all of the red wires that run into the wiring harness. Does anyone know what wire powers the light terminal? I had 2 orange...
