HA! Well...you and me BOTH know there are those who will do that
and call it A-OK all day long! Ha! I will have no less than 2 bits of security
on this when I am done... One thing at a time...
83,000 Towbar M916
I am getting closer to having a proper sized towbar onboard.
I'm toying w/ the idea of simply collapsing this 83,000 Lb
towbar and making a latch so as to stow it in a vertical* position and carry it in place.
I would rather have all this weight over the rear axles but...
Matt,
YOU are brilliant...having said that I looked at it in the past and decided the need for space
outweighs the difficulties I will have w/ the spare. No doubt I will need to invent
something to deal w/ that issue for sure. A electric winch might be the awnser so
I have one hand to maneuver...
Matt,
yes, I relooked, the brackets I designed to hold a 5TON box
will weld to the winch mount, right below where the spare
tire mount mounts to the winch mount...
...that is a mouth full!
How did that genset work out for you?
Do you jump or start trucks w/ it?
Did you add any accessories?
Is there another box deal that is needed to charge w/ this?
Any NSN or Part numbers?
Let me know please!
Just email tech support at C.E. Niehoff and ask what they suggest!
Or ask what series is the biggest that will fit and choose.
They have always been most helpful for me in the past.
I have been wearing and buying boots since I was 15.

things are a GREAT tool.

of a 5 ton.
The 2nd from the left goes OVER the far left and they get welded together
leaving pockets in the rear for hex-head bolts to...

Ahab I know where there is one of those ladders if you want one.
I am not a middle man, he wants "about" $110.00 or so for it w/ shipping.
PM me if you want his contact info. It looks OK, just needs some paint touch up is all
IMO.
I think you have to cut 2 support members clean out of the way
to install that unit. What does it weigh, 80 or so pounds? I think
it would look fine overhanging the front...
I sent a PM
The boarding ladder is indeed sweet. It is off an LMTV.
I have been seeing more and more of them around.
The stanchion pockets are just Class 2 Hitch Receiver tube.
That ladder will lay across the top of the bed, one end that
goes in a tube has a hole so I can pin it for transport. I'll...
