Yep, the project has changed. It is no longer a flatbed.
It is a mount and catwalk for 5th wheel plate. The
superstructure is a catwalk and the mount for my 16K 5th wheel plate.
(Not to mention this is all removable and my 3.5" or 2" SafHolland 5th wheel
plates will mount up allowing me to...
Nope, that is cat walk :-) LOL I was thinking about this a few hours ago I ship-u-not.
I will get stencils that say KEEP CATWALK CLEAN, STORE NO CARGO ;-)
It has been addressed in so much that there is 4" of travel, there is about 5.5" of space
if you measure from the tangent of a wheel...
The site Mtn sent us to has THIS wire. It is 3 conductor, not two, I still
am looking, they want $7.00 a foot for that stuff too!
I also saw this on that website;
SOOW Jacket is rated to 600 Volts. Jacket is Oil resistant and Outdoor Weather resistant. Typically used for outdoor extra hard...
Ah HA!
Starting to get some place here.
Thank U Mtn
This wire I need will go from the crane winch to a "box" maybe even
a Fat 50 ammo can so a 10' piece is more than enough, from there
it is powered by a Slave Cable so we should be A-Ok on the length vs amps issue.
I think I will simply add a tiny 5th wheel plate to the back and
call it legal. I appreciate the input tremendously. I found one for $100,
let's see how creative I can get w/ it. :-)
Thanx Gimp but I am looking for 1 cable that has 2 "Conductors" inside it.
The Conductors need to be #4, stranded.
The outside of the cable needs to be ROUND to fit my plug perfectly.
The cable needs to be BLACK w/ an OD of real close to 5/8" .
Somewhere there is probably a manufacturer...

What man can do, man can undo.
Looks like I will grab a mini 5th wheel and connect the dots
or perhaps just mount it on top... HA!
Holland/Binkley FW0001 miniature 5th wheel
What is the proper way to spec wire / how do I call out this;
Wire
Color = BLACK
2 Wire in one round casing
5/8" OD
#4 Stranded Wires (high amp usage, a small winch)
Mil Spec?
I want it to be very plyable, easy to coil, so FINE Stranding yes? )
The connector I am using is an IIT CANNON...
I think I paid $335 or so, plus I flipped a guy $100 to pick it up for me.
The boom needed some massaging, the motor lid was missing, along
w/ power cord and circuit breaker and switch. I got insanely lucky
and found a NOS winch box assembly COMPLETE so now my winch motor
and solenoids are...
SNIP ( A HUGE misunderstanding on others parts, all is handled, all is well SSville again... :-) )
... the frame is now painted and bolted back down to the
bed w/ 11- 3/4" Mil Bolts and Nuts.
I designed a sandwich mount for the
front so no welding to frame was necessary and no frame...
Yes, the key word here is "removable". I
I have a 3.5", and a 2" kingpin, oscillating 5 wheels plates and mounts for it.
I can't wait to accessorize...boxes and stake-style gates, chain lockers, tie-down o-ring
banjo holes...etc.
This thread is WIDE OPEN to any and all things, LMHC / Light Material Handling Crane
They are about as rare as hen's teeth. Once you see one you will
want one. There was a brand new one, IN WOOD BOX that sold for
INSANE money months ago in Utah I think it was.
PLEASE PM me if you have any...
Nah...no hijackin'... it's all good........
In TM 9-2320-365-10 you can see all the good stuff and details.
Just do a PDF search for "LMHC". In a nutshell it is rated for 1500#
at all positions with the boom stowed at O*,25* or 57*. As soon
as you extend the boom you basically drop to 800#...
