Heated led headlights
NOTE:
I don't "think" I have covered this in this thread yet...?
These are the HEATED Truck-Lite LED lights.
In winter conditions LEDs do not produce enough heat
to disapate snow and ice, so heated is optimal.
I forgot to put these on my XMAS LIST. :-(
Not only...
I have a set of spades I might sell but I can't be
giving them away. A GREAT offer and I would sell them.
They are in Los Angeles County, California. Otherwise
I keep them for there planned / intended purpose.
I also have 2 differing sets ( 4? pcs) of spade CUPS, the swivel
devices the spades...
...but the TM says CTIS HWY Mode is 90PSI right? Right.
Certainly any tire can be dangerous at any PSI, personally
I do what the TM says usually which is a valve 10' away
or I connect w/ a clip on and set the pressure at the tank
regulator.
But the jest right now is to try to get the flat spots out right?
It is worth a try to MAX AIR them IMO, even to 100 PSI
and let them sit, and then run it w/ weight ON, a coule
of hours and work them GOOD and
see what happens. Right? I mean it's your call but I
would try something easy before...
I actually think you are looking at the 2012 -10 issue that supercedes the 2004 issue.
Re-read that part at the beginning and look at he bottom of that page.
Having said that, the table you list is clear, FOR EXTENDED HWY USE 70PSI,
for Normal USE use CTIS pressures.
From PDF pg #71;

One word: Samson
80% lighter than steel lines / 5:1 safety factor? THATS INSANE!
Look at the 7/8" rope HERE, 7/8" is what is on my M916.
It is "rated" at 84,000 POUNDS, plus safety factor! WOW.
Instead of a crew, one man can handle it.
THANK U Bob, I am listening. I wonder if the TM's address this and I did not read enough?
Bob penned;
"Most tire manufacturers will publish a chart for load (usually percent actual load compared to maximum) vs desired tire pressure."
Great!
Now I get to go on a 14:00R20 tire pressure...
The -10 User manual is clear...;
The A2 CTIS variant is "Supposed" to air up to NINETY PSI in Hwy Mode.
So every time you start the truck the truck reverts back to HWY MODE
and your tires should be at 90 PSI.
The tires are marked by the Manufacturer at 100PSI COLD I think.
Anything under...
That's all fine and dandy but let's try to fix the flat spot issue first,
then after a few months if you want to let a lil air out that is
your prerogative. (Not recommended)
Pump those puppies up to MAX and let them sit.
:-)
Brad M is a living treasure. The man has forgot more than
I will ever know. He works circles around me and I am some
15 years his junior, and he almost lost an arm years ago!
He also was driving a MV Tractor and trailer and some idiot
decided to suicide HEAD ON TO HIM, he survived the some...
I want to learn more about the A2 variant so I went and did some sleuthing.
I have a lot to say, not a mean spirit within...
Does the TM say 55PSI is OK for normal, on road use, at speed?
I didn't think so. ;-)
The -10 TM says;
HWY MODE
The highway tire pressure selector is the normal...
PB Blaster is sold at Home Depot. I am a firm believer in that
stuff when used correctly. You can't squirt it and then try to remove
stuff, you need to squirt it DAYS in advance, and a little touch up squirt
every 1/4 day or so before you go after something. It is a "Penetrant"
and you need to...
EVERYONE who has an M916 should shoot me a quick PM
