I too have been trying to keep my eyes peeled for something cool.
If not then I am wondering if there is something that is real small that
uses a smart phone for a head unit.
Make sure you pull the bed latches AWAY from their cradles, there
is a little proximity switch that disables you from going BED UP unless
the latches are completely moved out of the way. I would follow those
proximity switch wires and look for a smashed wire too.
Try w/ the remote and w/o, and...
OMG, I am SO FREAKIN Mad!
I just heard that all MV's are to be CRUSHED. NO MORE SALES PERIOD.
I am livid. This is a travesty. I so hope I am wrong but who just told me
this has never been wrong w/ this stuff past.
So INCREDIBLY wrong.
I am NOT the person to ask but I have been told that
the Alternator itself is pretty much bullet-proof, and that
it is the Transformer-Rectifier that likes to BURN and be
problematic in the M915 Series of trucks.
So on PDF pg #84 in TM-9-2320-273-24P there is an
exploded view of the REGULATOR...
Nhc 250 a/c brackets
I have the brackets, yes that is plural, that are needed
to install a Red Dot Compressor (SANDEN) to a Cummins
NHC 250 engine. Not too many left...PM ONLY
NOT home made junk either. :-)
Guys are any of you well versed enough in Metal to tell me exactly
how to spec out the 4" T x 1.5" W x .xx Thick pieces of channel
that are used as deck crossmembers? I want to find that material
EXACTLY. It has a taper that starts at about an 1/8" or so and expands
all the way to web if I am...
Guys I have a LMHC (Light Material handling Crane) for an LMTV.
In the TM it shows it has a Circuit breaker that looks EXACTLY like
what I link to below, it is housed in a steel box that has a Slave
connector on it that plugs into the trucks 24V System.
This circuit breaker box is made from...
Why would you try to register a vehicle that has no VIN?
CH Hanson sells Alphabetical/Numerical steel stamp punches,
just add it, but usually folks just can not find the VIN , or it is under a
winch bracket or 40 coats of paint. Usually DS, Front, on
frame, behind tire.
No laws against adding...
If I remember right the TM says you can put 5Tons in the bed AND pull a 7.5 ton
trailer at the same time. You have roughly an 11.5 ton truck added to that for
a grand total of 24 tons or 48,000 pounds on the hoof, rolling weight.
(someone check me on the numbers please)
That is a lot even if...
In the "Artisan's M916" thread I have posted up a link to the M916
Elec Schematic* and it will be VERY close to an M920, but all's you have to
do is DL the TM's and look, or better yet BUY the manual that has
all the electrical and pneumatic fold outs. THAT is the best thing
to do because those...
I have some NHC250 Compressor brackets left.
there are actually 2 brackets required.
I have the model number for a compressor to fit somewhere too.
PM me, they ain't exactly cheap due to several reasons but there
all good, I have sold many and they are NOS RD units.
Serious inquiries via PM...
If you use the LWS vertical pole mounts on the cab, then fab up a 4' x 4" x .125"
cross member and then make a cantilever mount off that, a guy can
think about a Red Dot 9777 unit in 24V. It only needs a compressor,
wiring and hoses. The evap and condenser are built into the unit so no
worries...
How about a Female Hose Thread X 3/8" Compression adaptor.
( You will probably have to "make that up" )
Screw that onto the end of a garden hose then connect a piece of 3/8"
spaghetti copper. Get creative w/ what you got laying around. I
do not know how much damage you could do if it is...
Scary stuff, and it seems to happen a lot to these trucks.
I can only assume my M916 is a fire waiting to happen.
Other than installing a flame out system specifically for
this area is there anything I can do to prevent this failure?
