2 early deuces about to be crushed (SD)

What do you mean they don't have any real following? There are many people who collect them, including me. You may not see them as much because people don't drive them as much as the M35's and because there are less and less of them available every year. We use to have 5 of them at one point...

Block heater - - Tank Style

Yeah I have seen the thread on that freeze plug heater, but you need to install two of them to get things up to the proper heat. That one is made for a small 4cyl jeep and not a big truck engine. Maybe in warmer weather it works just fine, but I only need to plug in my truck when it hits the...

It is just called an M152. I have some info on my site including the rare users manual for the rear of the truck which shows how everything is suppose to be layed out. http://www.militarytrucks.ca/m152.htm

Of course, I fully agree. A lot of people ask me the same thing about the cost of my hobby of collecting military vehicles. I just respond with the answer that is a cheaper than the guys that buy the harley motorcycles. I can buy 5-6 army trucks for the price of one nice harley ;)

    Curved, Flapper, or Both?

Bought it at a local farm supply store. Exhaust pipe is 4", so you get one for a 4" exhaust pipe.

Actually, that is completely wrong. If he somehow has a fully working gun (is able to fire rounds if he got a hold of them) he has a VERY illegal vehicle. I don't doubt he told you that it was legal, but it is NOT in the slightest. The breach must be welded shut or cut out. Contact any agency...

    Curved, Flapper, or Both?

All the cool kids have the flappers ;) My truck had a rusted out J-pipe from years of water and snow settling in the pipe. It can also be a pain in the ass because when you start the truck all the water is kicked out of the pipe and anything sitting near by gets covered in nice black water...

Yeah that would be cool. They have a section on non US military equipment, but they only put it up for European military equipment (unimogs, Pinzgauers, etc). If they just put a section for "Canadian Military Vehicles/Equipment" I think it would be sufficient.

Block heater - - Tank Style

I would have to agree. Both types of heaters with a pump are unreliable. You never know if they will just stop working in the middle of the night. I know, as it has happened on another of my vehicles when it was -35F and was screwed the next morning when the truck wouldn't start. Freeze plug...

If you are talking about me, I do. As it says in the sig line: etc, etc.... Full list of vehicles on my website: http://www.militarytrucks.ca/ Or for a direct link, you can go to http://www.militarytrucks.ca/ourfleet.htm Use to have three, but got rid of two of them to make space for more...

    Driving Deuce Home from GL

Actually pretty much all military equipment is 24v, I don't know too much about the CUCV's, but I would guess they are somewhat different because they are a military version of a civilian vehicle. Everything on the deuce is 24v (starter, generator, lights, etc). If you want 12v you either go...

    Driving Deuce Home from GL

Nope sadly, they do not have them due to the 24v system. Most GPS units do have an internal battery, so if you are not going too far (say an hour away) the internal battery should be good to get you to where you are going. I fixed that problem a few weeks ago with a 24v-12v converter, a few...

Several C1's were auctioned years ago. I know there are a few people with them, but the military ripped the turrent's off and only sold the lower hulls. And unless you are ready to dump $50-60K, good luck in scoring one, and that is just for the lower hull. I have seen a few chieftains for...

    multi fuel questions

I have no doubt that you can. I guess I should have phrased it better in the sense that you can but it is not recommended to just dump the "unfiltered" oil in there. I have heard a few people stating just to dump anything and everything in the tank, but without filtering the stuff you can put...

    multi fuel questions

You cannot just dump anything into the truck, especially not used oil. The multi-fuel engine can take diesel, gasoline, kerosene and JP8. But they recommend that you run on diesel as things like gasoline doesn't lubricate the fuel injectors. They are made multi-fuel in case they get stuck...

Good Price for a diesel heater?

That heater does not come out of an M152. I have owned an M152, and that is not the heater inside the back, as the one in the back looks different and is 24v. The M152 uses the same heater as the M43. Plus the heater in the M152 is gas only. That heater does look to be in pristine shape though...

    LED lights for M109 Campers

The CFL have worked just fine so far without any problems. I have had them in the back of the truck for a couple months and none have broken. They are much more hardy than the old filament bulb. Yes the only draw back for CFL's is being turned on and off. They aren't fully bright when you turn...

    cab heater hook up

It wouldn't hurt to install two of them. You will be working on doing all the connections anyway, so why not.
