Using 5 ton cargo trucks for adventure type ventures

Can you get me a grid square and maybe a website or phone number? Never hurts to have a couple of resources. Thanks.

Using 5 ton cargo trucks for adventure type ventures

I have trucks.....I've already have my insurance carrier checking on insurance for an event I may try but it never hurts to get a second or third quote.

Using 5 ton cargo trucks for adventure type ventures

Thanks for the replies so far...the one I'm thinking of had paintball guns mounted on the sides and the riders could shoot at (Z word deleted) while they were on the tour. I may have seen this on another site but for some reason I'm thinking that it was posted on here. May have been deleted due...

Using 5 ton cargo trucks for adventure type ventures

I remember someone posting about using 900 series 5 ton cargos to haul passengers for "Safari" type adventures. I have searched till the cows came home (and we do have cows) and could not find them. Can some search guru help an old guy out?

Hi Speed Blowout and other Fun!

It looks like the vehicle left the road and hit a culvert or some such object that sheared off the front axle. We had a similar accident where the driver fell asleep and did the same type damage. I bet the poor guy suffered an "explosive defecation incident".

    just a question?

The next question I would ask you is how much experience do you have operating heavy vehicles. I drove the M1070 and the M916 in the Army. I was also a Drivers Trainer and License Examiner. The M1070 is a challenge for an experienced driver due to the rear steering axle and the visibility...

M925A2 needed jump. NE OKC, OK.

Sounds a little steep to me. I put two batteries from Tractor Supply in the wrecker and paid a hair over 200 bucks for both (with Boss Lady's discount). Cranks like a champ.

    Moving air intake and exhaust

You are only going to gain about a foot.....what is the purpose for the extra space?

    M923A2 stockpile

There is an Army Reserve unit near me that has a yard full of 900 series tractors sitting under the pine trees rusting away. They have drawn their new trucks so they are still in business. My guess is that there is no money in the budget to get these trucks to DRMO or that the unit is deployed...

    That's funny......I don't care who you are.

    M48A1 Engine Running Again

We really don't want to know what you were doing while you were watching it.

    Deuce 5th wheel

The M275's were never line haul trucks. They pulled shop vans, command vans and maybe some sort of missile trailer. I pulled several van trailers and an expando van back from Redstone with it and it looked pretty happy hooked up to them. It does seem to have a little more top end than a...

    m929 dump truck ?

What they said. You didn't say what engine is in your truck, 8.3 or 250 Cummins but all the filters can be cross referenced to filters available at all the usual suspects.

Deuce Multi-fuel crankcase full of fuel - please advise over

Years ago I had a buddy who's dad was known to imbibe on occasion. During his "sprees" he would work on an old Ford Galaxie he had in the back yard. He would drain the oil, fill the crankcase with diesel and run the engine until it got warm. He would then drain the diesel out, refill with oil...

F-16 pilot flies back to base with half a wing missing

I wonder if those pilots had to sign a "Statement of Charges".

    LED Headlights?

Several members here were selling them at various times. I got the ones for my M927 at the 2013 GA Rally. Best money I ever spent for new stuff. The difference is literally night and day.

20 inch combat rim "o" rings

Any tire dealer that does log skidder or industrial tires should have the orings. I think my guy charges me six bucks each for the ones he puts in the rims from the M927. If you do your own tire work it may be cost effective to stock up.

    Is it a bad sign???

Never bid more than scrap price for a non-running anything (ask me how I knowauaauaaua ).
