    Georgia Mafia infiltration.....

Todd is a member here. A great guy and he has some really cool green iron. He let my son Kyle take one of the tracks for a spin. I got a lot of "cool Dad" points for that. He's going to try to get some of them over to the 2014 GA Rally.

Steps to remove CTIS on the M923a2

You could probably disconnect the control box on the shifter tower if you wanted to.

Steps to remove CTIS on the M923a2

When I swapped out the axle on my M923 I plugged the holes on the axles with fittings I got from a hydraulic shop. I plugged the line that went from the box on the frame and called it good. The other two axles are still plumbed but I'll disconnect and plug them them as I get to it.

    1985 am general m 929 dump truck

There are two engines in the 900 series. The 250 Cummins in the older trucks and the 8.3 Cummins in the A3 trucks (usually identified by HARSCO/BMY designators). Parts are different for the two.

    Georgia Mafia infiltration.....

Am I riff or raff...........I can never keep that straight. I still have some 2013 GA Rally T-shirts "big boy" sizes left. Long and short sleeve. Should have posted them as stocking stuffers.

Legal Issues that could effect all MV Owners

Since my M927A2 (HARSCO/BMY) is legally titled in Alabama can I sell it to someone in GA and using my title can that person then get a GA title?

Looking at the BMY 5 tons

Since I bought the M927A2 I have come to appreciate the 8.3 Cummins and the Allison automatic. I have since added an M923A2 to the stable which may or may not end up as a parts truck (depends on if I want to swap out a transfer case). I have owned a 5 ton wrecker and a 5 ton multi-fuel tractor...

towing m989a1 Hemat with m1070 HET

The HETT weighs 40K and some change.....the trailer was built to be pulled by a HEMMT. I don't see a problem if the air lines are connected.

Miles per year on your deuce :)

I put 15 miles on the M275......behind the M927 on a tow bar. Fuel mileage was phenomenal.rofl

    SR71 Blackbird

Back in the late 70's I was an over the road trucker. I ran from Mississippi to California just about every week delivering processed poultry to LA and then going up in the valleys and loading produce to return back east. Sometimes I would end up coming over Tehachapi and through Mojave and...

    Last B52G dies today!!!

If you like to read there is a book, "Flight of the Old Dog", a fictional account of a B-52 combat mission. The BUFF is an amazing aircraft. I think I remember reading that one of the pilots flew the same aircraft his grandfather flew.

My M373A2 Electronics Van / Storage / Workbench

There was a very nice one that sold at Benning yesterday. Somebody wanted it more than I did. I can't have nothing.

    Jump 5 ton( 4 batteries) to 5 ton(4 batteries)?

Make sure you have the right size jumper cables. Little cheap ones won't make it. I have a set made of welding cable and I wouldn't use anything smaller.

    M923a2 weak point.

I was pulling small stumps with a M936 and broke a big log chain. Unless it is a very small stump I'd either pay someone to grind the stump out or dig it out with a backhoe or trackhoe. If you do elect to pull it put a few tons of ballast in the rear.

My M373A2 Electronics Van / Storage / Workbench

Very nice. I have two like that. One is configured like yours (storage and a small workbench) and never moves. The other is my show/rally trailer. It has made 5 trips to the GA Rally and has creature comforts up front and storage in the back. It hauls the Mess Hall tent for the Rally. I also...
