What plans do you have for the beast. I may have a paying gig for it here in Alabama if you are interested. Might also be able to use the MK-48.

    M923 NHC250 Turbo Project

You can't gold plate a turd. (well, you can but then you just have an expensive turd) I'm kidding but don't be surprised at the results (or lack there of).

    I need a better answer

Because this is the greatest country on earth and I can. Because of all the great people you meet associated with the hobby. Because driving a Prius is for twinkle toed sissies. Because I get to go the the GA Rally and hang out with all my low life friends like Papa Bear, Clinto and Doghead.

M915 low power. Looking for likely problems.

My first M915 was a sick puppy...wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a fat cat's arse. I took it to an old school Cummins guy and he said the best thing to do was to remove the Injector Pump and have a good pump shop set it up to run. You can turn the fuel to it yourself but you run the risk of...

    Bought an M925A1 - dropped a valve?

Myself and another SS member may be up there in a few weeks to load out some trucks for a customer. If you can get some grace time in picking it up we may be able to check it out for you or tow it to your place (we'll have a wrecker with us). PM for details.

    Photoshopped....but not too shabby.

    Bought an M925A1 - dropped a valve?

He sold parts off them and scrapped the blocks. He also wasted a lot of the sheet metal because he needed some quick bucks. With a little TLC both of those trucks could have been good runners. Some people's kids.:(

    Bought an M925A1 - dropped a valve?

An old logger buddy of mine bought a couple of M915's with the 400 Cummins in them. Both ran good but had other issues (they had the CAT trannys in them). He had already decided to part them out because he didn't like the semi-automatic transmission. He had cranked both engines but had not...

    Hard top question

It depends on condition but a rule of thumb is 600 for the ring, 200 each for the legs (3), and a few hundred more for the .50 cal cradle (mine is brand new), ammo can holder that goes next to the gun (has a hold down thingy that sits on top of the rounds) and spare ammo can holders. I have a...

    2013 la rally

Tim......I'm on hot standby for an out of state MV load out mission so me and the Boss Lady may not make it. We still want a Large and 2XL T-shirt. If we can't make it I'll pay the shipping to get them here.

    M923 clunks

If enough bolts get loose it can cause the transmission to twist and flex against the bell housing. I think this was even addressed in an issue of PM magazine. I don't know if they are posted on line anywhere. If so they would be an an issue from the 80's which is when I was at Benning.

    Patracy's "SEMTT"

It is possible to turn a HEMMT without the engine running but I think it's due to the fluid pressure in the system. We routinely dragged them around the Motor Pool in Korea when we had some that were deadlined that had to be relocated. It's entirely possible I'm wrong but I think if you follow...

    M923 clunks

Have you checked the bolts on all the jackshafts and between the transmission and transfer case? You also need to check the bell housing bolts. When I was at Fort Benning we had two M932's and they were notorious for the bell housing bolts backing out. One of them almost lost a tranny due to all...
