Since you are building it from scratch you might consider making it less wind resistant (I know it's going on a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a cement block but every little bit helps).

Having owned both (and driven the wheels off them in the Army) I can tell you that the 800 series is louder and rides rougher than a deuce....it is also bigger, sucks fuel and cost more to operate than a deuce. Some states require a CDL for an 800 series even though it does not have straight...
