Where can my M818 go on stock NDT's?

You can get anything stuck if you work at it......if you get too deep you will tear out the fuel crossover lines (ask me how I know) and other stuff hanging down underneath. As BDM said the prob is no weight on the 5th wheel to give you traction if you are bob tailing. These trucks are...

    M915A1 In New Mexico

They just sold a bunch of them out of Holleman AFB in NM....this may be one of those....they had the CAT trannys in them and looked seriously neglected....someone had left the windows open and there was a ton of dust in the cabs. There were prob several diamonds in that pile of coal.

    Another Day at Pismo

Many years ago I used to haul produce out of Santa Maria and Salinas......there was a killer sub shop in Pismo that made a roast beef, cheese and mushroom footlong that would knock your socks off.

    I think I want a wrecker

Being a member of the "Used to Own A Wrecker Club" let me wade in. I have loved M816's and their variants since I was in the Army back in the 70's. My 816 was a money pit from the word go...my fault since I knew it had been sitting a long time down in south MS. Insurance and tags kicked my...

Did you miss the memo about Papa Bear and the red tutu? We are easy to get along with.....it will be cool at night so bring something you can stay warm in. There will prob be several spare tents set up. I would offer space in the van trailer but my snoring is legendary....ask any of the...

    Potential member question

Cost depends a lot on what options are on the truck.....winch?, hardtop?, tarp and bows?, heater?, springer seat?. Also miles/hours on vehicle, condition of tires, paint and sheet metal etc. Make sure the engine/tranny/driveline is in good working order and don't forget the brakes. If it...

Bought my first MIG welder today...

I have a big stick welder and a MIG......I use the MIG more than the stick for small jobs. If you make multiple passes you can weld pretty thick plate....you just have to go slow and get plenty of penetration on the prior pass.

    B17G Flying Fortress

If you are old enough to remember the TV series "12 O'clock High" you can appreciate what the members of the 8th Army Air Force went through during WWII. It was actually safer to be an infantry soldier that a crewman on a B-17. On my flight I met a gent that had been a waist gunner in one during...

    Manure Spreader

They also made an amphibious version in case you got up Chit Creek without a paddle. It was so slow most folks were afraid they would be caught in a chitting DUKW.

    Manure Spreader

These were used quite regularly at the Pentagon when giving high level briefings......on occasion they were loaned out to career politicians...usually just before election day. They were surplussed out and farmers bought them..... many are still using them for the same purpose as the original...
