Recovered Materials in Alma, GA has good prices on used MV tires. http://www.RECOVEREDMATERIALS.net He has contracts to haul them off major military installations in the Southeast so his overhead is low.

100's of gallons of used motor oil (downtown Atlanta)

That would be a great score if someone had some totes and a portable pump. You would have to make sure it did not have water or other crud in it. Any idea exactly where it is located?

    Help with Identifying old heater

It looks alot like the ones in the Commo vans we used back in the 70's in Germany. Each rig towed a set of gennys around so there was plenty of power for elec heaters.

Room for sleepers behind 915 series trucks?

Having been a civilian over the road driver and driver in the Army let me lend you my input. M915s were built as line haul trucks but were not built for style or comfort. They have spring ride suspension and will beat your teeth out on a rough road. Empty or loaded. No AC so you will cook in...

    Welding to a ring, lunnet?

Lunettes are cast steel....not machined......you can weld it but you have to use a specialized welding process and rods......it is difficult to put the temper back in it if you get it too hot. I would be wary about using it to tow with unless you are sure you got it right. Just my 2cents.

    M8 Armored Car in Iraq

It's a minor miracle that some Apache driver or Warthog pilot didn't see it as a target of opportunity and send it to the scrap pile.

"recommend buyer screen prior to placing bid" ???

One of the reasons I only buy vehicles from GL Redstone is that they are very good at letting you preview. If a truck won't start they will try to slave it off. They will also let you drive it forward and backward in the spot it is sitting in. That will at least let you know if the...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

My rule of thumb is to load all the old crap I don't need up on the truck in hopes of trading it for some new crap I don't need.

It's a military vehical but it's not what you think

I have ridden that train......loved it.....better than the train at Dollywood since you don't have to pay a big admission just to ride the train.

    Oshkosh Corp Mdl:K2358

I previewed them several times and got my teeth kicked in (5k was my max) on the second day of the auction. The GL guy let me check them out throughly and one was missing the steering wheel and the dash was FUBAR. Two were jumped off and driven in from somewhere on Redstone......they are in...
