    Chrysler Air Raid Siren

Best new use for siren. 1. Observe drooling moron driving around in mobile boom box intent on annoying intelligent people. 2. Follow said moron back to his/her residence. 3. Return at 3 am with hemi-powered siren mounted in bed of deuce. 4. Test siren to utmost limits of operating range...

    Stopping Distance

You can have top notch equipment and be doing everything right and some knuckle dragging, mouth breather can screw up your whole day. You can't fix stupid. That's why they put loud air horns on deuces......I would have let him know the error of his ways.

    Look what the Deuce found!

Are you folks blind?????? Ray Charles could identify that. It's a doohicky transporter.........you hoist the doohicky up with a thingamabob and then secure it with a whatchamacallit. Attach it to the prime mover of your choice and go. I thought there were some real rednecks on this...

Look what I found the other day.

At least it is displaying our flag.

Jumping in or falling to death

It is far, far better to have a deuce and not need it than to need one and not have it. I spent 34 years in the Army (in one form or another) and I love these trucks. When I was in Germany in the 70's I put over 50k miles on deuces driving for the mess hall and supply room. They all have quirks...

    Engine oil type

Ditto on Rotella......cost more but it's the stuff most big rigs use.......and when you change it you can dump the used stuff right in the fuel tank and stretch that fuel.

    expando van followed me home

Here are some pics of the van expanded out and some of the booty I found inside. This included an oxy/actylene soldering kit, hydrolic test stand, some sort of electronic thing full of vacume tube (lots of spare tubes too) manuals for the van and the test stand, a big drawer full of sandpaper...

    Alabama Military Campout

Don't forget my mini-rally Labor Day weekend at Mountainside Offroad Park near Gadsden. Sat. is the big day.....burnout contest, pulling contest and other activities......there will be a film company there shooting video...that night the video will be shown on a huge screen mounted on the side...

    expando van followed me home

Kenny.......said trailer is still out in the yard awaiting transmorgification into a beavertail lowboy. I am trying to sell the van to the guy that owns the big offroad park near me....he needs an office for the site and if he will take it I'm going to try to keep the trailer. Maybe it is a...

What could we feed our trucks when in a life/death situation?

Well.....I am prepared for the (insert your paranoia here) up here on the mountain. I plan never to be a refugee. I will fight all comers and die here with a gun in my hand. Don't need bug out fuel if you dont have to bug out. And on the subject of bugging out...if you don't have a well stocked...

    2009 GA Rally-trader on line

Jim...I think I have a bumper out in the misc parts still loaded on the trailer from the LA rally. I'll check tomorrow and let you know.....there is a hardtop frame on the tanker...have to see how rusty it is...since I will be putting a hardtop on the tanker if the frame is good I'll bring it to...

    expando van followed me home

I have seen the canvas sided ones set up in the field...this one has what appears to be metal sides laying across the storage bins....if so it will make a nice hooch for rallys. I can't wait to get it set up.

So you want to go faster?

If you want a 70 MPH deuce you better think about some 70 MPH brakes to go with it. Running over a Honda that cuts in front of you and slams on the brakes can ruin your day. The single master cylinder design needs to be addressed also. When I was in the army in the 70's I spent two years in...

    Georgia MVPA Fall Rally 2009

I was at last years event and it was a great time. The site is beautiful with plenty of creature comforts. Lots of vehicles on display and plenty of trade goods for sale/swap. I'll be there with a load of stuff.

    What's the catch with GL??

I have bought a lot of trucks from GL......I'm the guy that buys deuces to flip and help support my Green Iron Addiction (just as bad a crack but you have something to show for it). When you buy a deuce from me (or other private seller) you get a truck that you can come look at, test drive and...

    Stretching a frame? M818/S250

A 280 shelter would be the ultimate "Sleeper" to go behind a tractor. Using a long bed frame you would have enough room to install the 5th wheel behind it. The longwheel base make turning harder but it smooths out the ride. You could remove the door and fit it to the back of the tractor just...

    expando van followed me home

I made it up to Redstone today to recover my M195 Expando Trailer. Murphy must have been preoccupied since I had zero problems with the pick up or the ride back home. It is a heavy bastage and the little M275 tractor earned it's pay pulling it back. On one hill I was in Low Range 2nd gear to get...

HMMWV COE & HUMMER COE variants

The only problem with cab overs is that if you are driving you will be the first one at the scene of the accident.
