I have been doing recoveries but I start college classes on the 24th of this month. My classes are Mon-Thurs and Redstone is closed Friday. Looks like I am out of the loop after the 24th. ALREDNECK does recoveries and will haul your stuff to MA or he can bring it here and I'll hold it until you...

    Deuce down.

I AM NOT MURPHY!!!!!!! He just follows me around....I am beginning to feel like the Ancient Mariner...with the Albatross of bad luck around my neck. My wrecker is deadlined for the present but it is at a friend of mines awaiting repair. As soon as I get it back to the Motor Pool we will begin...

    Gunner's opening in hard tops

I am thinking more in terms of a removable lid that can be kept sealed up unless you need to man the weapon. A hatch that would open and close on a hinge would prob be difficult to manuver under the ring mount and would be in the way unless it would lay flat. Any creative folks out there got ideas?

    Gunner's opening in hard tops

Never found the pics.....but it was a pretty cool design...it had just been cobbled together too fast. With a little imagination and some good welding it could have been a very good setup. SInce I want to put my ring mount on my wrecker, and I hate soft tops, I will probably "redneck engineer" a...

    NOS M275 fuel tanks

I'll swap you one of the NOS 5 ton tanks I have if you got any extras.

    MVPA Nationals parts list

I have NOS fuel tanks for 5 tons...should fit wreckers, dumps, tractors. New in the box. I need cash but will trade for something I want but don't really need. I also have DOT approved, tempered, laminated pieces of glass. I suspect that this glass was raw stock and was cut to proper size at the...

Yet another horror story about Creekside (OH)

DRMO sales were direct to the public....the only disadvantage was that the items were sold in big lots. You might have to buy 30 deuces at one time, a big problem for the little guy. That is how the major players got started (Memphis Equipment, etc.). They were also sealed bid...you had no idea...

    2009 GA Rally-trader on line

Humm.....I have a buddy that is an independent film producer. If nothing else it would make and awesome U-tube flick. And why drag that old dump truck all the way up here when my tanker needs a make-over. :mrgreen:rofl

    CB radios in CUCV

I would opt for a modern CB....I always had good luck with Cobras (available at most larger truck stops). They can be peaked and tuned for better performace and range. You can also add a "kicker" or liner amplifier (somewhat illegal) for a lot longer range. A 150 watt "Texas Star" was my weapon...

    Deuce from Chattanooga,TN to Houston

PM ALREDNECK....if he ain't up to his arse in aligators he can prob get it hauled for you.

Yet another horror story about Creekside (OH)

ABN173...you are correct about the DRMO sales.....all those folks were gooberment employees earning good money and good bennifits...enter "smaller gooberment" ideas. It was deemed cheaper to contract out the property disposal to a private contractor.....GL was the winner of the contract (I would...

    m52A2 HWY

These trucks have two strikes against them from the get-go......the multi-fuel engine and the low gears. I had one for a while and after a 700 mile road trip I swore it off as a long distance vehicle. Then I traded it even for a M275. That being said there are ways to get more speed.......turn...

My New Trailer - What Is It?

Well...now I know what to do with my M-200......and I was going to haul big loads on it.

    New Guy in Georgia!!!

Well...all you guys are in our line of march for the Ga rally in Oct. Unless I go over early to do some Public Relations work a bunch of us will be headed that way early Friday morn (the weekend of the rally). It would be real cool to have a 5 truck or better convoy over to the rally site. Watch...

    Is the Deuce for me?

Taller tires (you can go up to 12.5 radials) will give you better road speed. You can turn the engine up (add pyrometers) for more power. You will need some kind of adaptor if you want to use electric trailer brakes (recommended) unless you adapt a military trailer to pull the race car...

    i'm new and here's why...........

The first step is admitting you have a problem. I'm wreckerman and I'm a MV addict. I can stop anytime I want to......or when I run out of money....oh wait...I am out of money. Welcome to the loony bin.:cookoo:

    Towing a M105a2 w/ civilian Pick Up ?

If you get an offset receiver hitch it will raise the level of the pintle and level out the trailer. Flipping the lunette can be a booger if it is rust welded in place. They are available at Tractor Supply and all the usual suspect auto parts houses. All of this has been posted before but I have...
