    My truck is on gl.

That's an amazing story. I had a Deuce that I was mighty fond of at my last duty station before I retired. It was an A3 and it was the supply deuce for Co C, 961st Engr Bn (Cbt)(Hvy). I can see it's bumper number to this day - it was C10. As my unit was deactivated after I retired, chances are...

    National Museum of the U.S.A.F.

Yeah, what Bluto said. I'm in. I live in Fairborn and have been to the USAF Museum many times, but there's always something new that catches the eye. The newest exhibit is probably the spy satellites in the Cold War exhibit hall. There's also a reunion of the last few remaining members of the...

The Goat may be just what the doctor ordered.

I remember being carted around to the rifle range and such places in a troop carrying Gama Goat in the pre-VOLAR Army of the early 1970s. They did what they were supposed to do, but I have never had a yen to find one and own it. A tip of the Kevlar to those intrepid souls who make them work on...

    Where's Your License Plate?

Right on the back. I used the holes that someone had thoughtfully drilled out in the diamond pattern back bumper. I don't know if Ohio requires a light or not, but so far the subject hasn't come up. With the license plate's reflective coating it shows up like a beacon anyway when light hits it.

    Need some help please..

I liked MSG Half-Mast and Connie. Thanks to them I got through some boring times in the shop. Learned a thing or three about the green iron we had too. rofl

    (Somewhat) Rare photo op

There's an F-22A in the US Air Force Museum too, but I guess you have to be a Zoomie to get excited about seeing one. :D It doesn't do anything for me. rofl

What do your neighbors and other drivers think of your CUCV

@nf6x: Thumbs up on the shop van. [thumbzup] A fella's gotta have a place to store his tools when he's wrenchin' :grd:

    It Is Alive!!!

Congratulations on getting your TOAD hopping. Bah that's why I like the gas engine in my M880. No fuel troubles, no glow plug troubles, etc. rofl

Thinking of getting a m880 any thoughts??

The M880 is a sturdy truck and not complicated to work on at all. It's basically a Dodge Power Wagon W200. The full time four wheel drive is not a problem (at least it isn't for me) and the upgrade of power steering is welcome too. That said, you're going to be disappointed with the gas mileage...

    The Ural 750 rebuild...perpetual project

I saw an Ural motorcycle with a sidecar at the air show at Wright-Patterson AFB last fall. I don't know if it's a new one or who sells them in Ohio, but I thought it was interesting.

    OOPS!!!!!

I like that idea. Lot of work with the spoons and hammer to get the old one back into shape.:D

    Hi everyone from Wisconsin

Here's some pictures of my truck as I drove it to Ohio from Aniwa last September. I stopped at my old Reserve unit in Milwaukee to check out the new iron in the motor pool. They were getting ready to do a convoy to FT Mc Coy for an extended Battle Drill Assembly (or whatever they call it t these...

    Hi everyone from Wisconsin

Yeah that would be Alfa Heaven. I bought my M880 from him and it's a peach. Apart from some wiring issues I had to sort out it's been pretty reliable. Even in cold weather (11 degrees at 7 am today) it started at the first crank of the starter. He's still got a ton of M880s and M1008/09s and...

    M880 Picture Thread

I have the Mo Par Electronic Distributor in my 1977 M882. It came that way from the guy that sold it to me. It works great. I don't know if he changed it from a points and condensor set-up or not, but the elctronic set-up works in the 318 and is still available from the dealer. (Or if you're...

    Hi everyone from Wisconsin

That's wrong somehow...:?: Surely you would want to retire TO Florida and not TO Wisconsin. From one who knows... Lived in Appleton, Milwaukee, & Racine for 30 years. I don't like the snow and the cold anymore.rofl

    My new M151A2

Great looking M151A2. I drove many a tank trail at FT Knox with one in the late 70s early 80s. Pretty chilly ride without the top, and not much better even with it on, but it always got me there. :) The handling was said to be tricky which is why I had to undergo a special block of instruction...

    Fresh Southern CUCV Resto M1008

Nice job! I'm more of a Dodge man myself instead of a Chevy man, but that pick up looks sweet.
